#FaithIntoAction
“See, these these Jews, Israelites from and and from Judah, they they were all about confessing God. Yeah. We love God. Yeah. We we worship God. But their actions, they abandoned God. They didn't follow the covenant. And I'm afraid that in our time now, we promote the confessing of Jesus, but we don't talk about the actions for Jesus. And your salvation results in a new way of living, that you walk in a new life. And what is that way? Well, it's what the Lord requires of you. Do justice. Be a person of integrity, a person of honesty, a person who cares for the weak.”

“``See, we try to make our Christian walk just about checking a box. Something, yeah, I did that. Yeah, I did that just for the sake so I can say that I did it, but God doesn't want that from us. Sometimes we try to think, okay, God, what's the minimum I can do so that I can be a Christian and still live the way I wanna live? God says, that's not what I want for you. That's not what I have for you. This is how it works. Yes. You confess Jesus as lord and savior, believe in him, and then you do justice, loving kindness, and walk humbly with your god.”

#ServeWithHumility
“So the Lord requires you to serve others, to put others first and love them by obeying offering forgiveness, being merciful and gracious, loving kindness. And lastly, he says, walk humbly with your God. Now to walk, that references the way you live. You are to live humbly, not prideful, but with humility. And who do you live humbly with? It says the lord. You live humbly with your God. That means in every situation, in every day, you remember who you are. Who are you? You are not God. God is God, and you are not him. Pride says, life is about me. People are exist to serve me. God says, no, my people, life is about God and people exist for you to love and serve them.”

#LoveOverConvenience
“So I desire to love and serve others. So believers, we are to be gracious, extending patience, even to that one person. I know you're thinking about somebody. Man, I got to be patient to that person? Yeah, you got be patient to that person. Ruben, who do think about, Brad? Yeah, I know. Even that one person, extending grace. Even the person who says, Can I ask you one more question? Can I ask you one more question? Yes. Because believers must be fine with being inconvenienced. Obviously, I hate that. I hate to be inconvenienced. But loving kindness means we are fine with being inconvenienced. Where we're always ready to serve, we're always ready to help meet a need, and we're always ready to provide help in the time of difficulty. Because God says, I require you love, kindness, love, mercy, love, faithfulness.”

“So let's take a look at these three requirements. Let let's let's put the Jews and Israelites aside, and let's look at us when we look at these three requirements because the Lord today is telling you, I don't want half hearted worship. I don't want half hearted devotion. I want three things. One, do justice. As believers in Jesus, we know justice because we have received justice. Through the substitution of Jesus' death, we have been declared innocent, no longer guilty of sin but declared free and righteous because Christ has imputed his righteousness on us. It's that great exchange second Corinthians talks about, that Jesus who knew no sin became sin for us. So though we were guilty in the eyes of God, Jesus went to the cross, died for our sins, and when you place faith in Jesus, then you receive his righteousness. Your sin is removed, and his Christ is imputed on you. We know justice because we've seen it.”

#NoHalfheartedFaith
“But Micah goes on to show that that's not what the Lord requires of you. God didn't want some religious activity half hearted, going through the motions worship. God required something else. And I'm saying this passage is going to be hard this morning because God doesn't want half hearted He doesn't want just religious activity from us. He doesn't want us just to check something off a box. God's not up in heaven doing attendance to see who was here every Sunday morning to make sure you get credit. He's not looking for people who only confess devotion to God. God requires something else, and the thing that he requires is the exact same he required for the people of Judah and Israel.”

#MercyLikeChrist
“Okay. Second requirement. It says to love kindness. Now some Bible translations say love mercy, love faithfulness. I'm not sure what yours says. Mine says love kindness. The Hebrew word though for this kindness is is which means love with a loyal love that contains mercy. Love with a loyal love that contains mercy. And God has given us the perfect example of what mercy looks like, of what loving kindness looks like. It was his unwavering willingness to show us mercy. Sinners who have sinned against God, who deserve all the consequences, the death and the wrath that God needs to give us. But he's shown us mercy by sending his son Jesus, and by believing in his son Jesus, we receive his mercy, and that wrath that was once to us has been now taken away because his son has took it. His son has laid it upon himself.”

#FaithThatChangesLife
“See, so that's what God requires of you. God wants you to live faithfully with Him and in how He's called you to live. God wants you to live faithfully in him and in how he's called you to live. Not only just words. Now, I don't wanna distort salvation for a second. So let let me plead my case for a second. The Bible says, you just confess Jesus as Lord and believe in your heart, and you will be saved. I don't wanna distort that. But your salvation, a result of your salvation, is a new way of living. A result of your salvation, a result of that confession is that you walk in a new life, a new way of living.”
