#BeLikeJesus
“God's already given us his perfect standard. So simply stated, here's how people find themselves coming up with a counterfeit gospel. A counterfeit gospel is created when we change the standard instead of letting the standard change us. This gospel isn't meant to be molded into what we want it to be. We are meant to be formed and fashioned into what God wants us to be. And that's not even a mystery. What does God wanna fashion me into? It's quite clear in scripture. He wants to fashion you into the image of his son Jesus.”

#AnchoredInTruth
“Jude isn't telling the church to become argumentative though. He's telling the church to become anchored. Yeah. And anytime we say church, if you don't know, we're talking to believers that you and I who are in Christ, we are the church, and God is calling us to become anchored. We don't contend by debating and fighting with people. We contend by refusing to surrender the truth. Likewise, the church doesn't preserve the gospel by editing it. We preserve the gospel by living it out.”

#ModelJesus
“So we don't mirror the world around us. No. We model what they long to become. And so the sobering parts of scripture, they serve a loving purpose. They call us back to the original measurement and make us more like Jesus. See, everybody has an ache in their heart for a king like Jesus. Whether they know it or not, they have that desire. They have that ache, that longing to know him.”

#LiveYourFaith
“Friend, if if in your home, if it's do as I say, not as I do, your kids aren't gonna be discipled in the faith. They're gonna be discipled in hypocrisy. And make make no mistake, they're gonna grow to be a hypocrite. But when you model for them, and not just for them, but for your coworkers, for your unsaved spouse, for your neighbors, whoever it is, you model an authentic faith in Jesus Christ by living out this gospel message, this pure unadulterated gospel, the original standard, then people see, man, a little bit of Jesus. I hope they see a little bit of Jesus in you, a glimpse of the savior through your life because you live out this gospel.”

#DesireOfTheNations
“What does that look like? It looks like people who long for justice because he's perfectly just. Right? It's people who long for righteousness. They don't call it righteousness, but they want peace in the land. They want people to get along. They wanna have healthy relationships. They want a government that that rules in a righteous way. Right? These are the kinds of things that are deep in our hearts. We want peace. We want joy. Well, king Jesus, he carries all of that. And so they don't know that they're longing for him, but it is him that their hearts are longing for. That's why scripture refers to him as the desire of the nations.”

#ContendForTheFaith
“And so that's a lifelong process. Amen? That's not a quick snap your fingers, poof, it's done. This is a lifelong commitment to following this gospel and allowing it to change us. In his letter here, it's almost as if Jude took these believers by the lapels and said, contend, fight with everything you have to preserve the faith that was given to you. Don't add to it. Don't subtract from it. Don't soften what God has made clear. Right? Yet we see that all over the place today in the the the generation we live in. People are adding. People are taking away. People are softening what God has made clear.”

#OneTrueGospel
“God has an original standard. People change standards all the time. People are constantly, you know, deciding what's right based off of what feels right. They're constantly deciding what's good based off of how it will go for them. Right? So there's this self interest that is just sewn into so much of the decision making in our world today. But God is saying, I have an original standard that you are entrusted to. You're you're supposed to defend this thing. So there's just one gospel message. Amen? There's one gospel, but there's a lot of counterfeits.”
