#StrongAndCourageous
“Verse nine, have I not commanded you? And he tells him, it's not just an encouragement. This isn't just a speech I'm giving you. I'm commanding you. Be strong. courageous. Don't be terrified. Don't be discouraged for the Lord your God is gonna be with you wherever you go. And we still hang our hat on that today. We still believe in that. We still step out every day with that thought that we are going to be strong and courageous, not out of our own might, but out of the strength of the Lord that is with us.”

#FaceYourJordan
“Many of you are facing a Jordan, so to speak, in your own life. You've got a big decision. God may be asking you to make a move. God may be asking you to go to a new job. You may have felt God calling you into some kind of a role here at this church. Or maybe in your place of business, maybe in your neighborhood, maybe you just haven't been quite the leader that you need to be in a place that God's already given you. And God's been working on your heart about that.”

#CalledNotQualified
“Joshua wasn't gonna become a leader because he was awesome at it, or he won an election, or he seemed to be the last resort. God had tapped him and asked him to move into a role, a guy that was a slave, a guy that had never gone through leadership classes or military school or any of those things. And so God looks at many of us, you and I, in this room today and he looks at us and he says, I have a plan for you and I have a way I can use you.”

#StrengthFromGod
“God wants you and I to learn to show that same strength and courage. A lot of times, we do learn it from other people. We watch it happen. We see it happen in another believer's family or we see it happen in their lives, and yet somehow it just doesn't quite transfer. Strength and courage here didn't come though from their own might. Notice how each and every time it came from the Lord. It passed down from God to Moses, from God to Joshua, from God to the spies, and from God to Rahab each and every time.”
