#ActionsMatchWords
“``Jesus is calling you and I to a life where our follow through has to match our words. To the point of you and I don't even have to say the words, I promise. Usually, why do those words even come out of our mouth? Because we're trying to reassure the person in front of us that what I say that I'm gonna do, I'm actually going to do. If we are true to our words in how we act and how we live, then that never really has to come out of us.”

#LetMyYesBeYes
“Lord, you've been faithful to me. Help me to be faithful to you, to what you've entrusted me to. Let my yes be yes when it's easy. Let my yes be yes when it cost me. Because every promise that I keep tells the world about the God that I serve and the God that I love. Help me to lead my family. Help me to lead those I work with. Help me to lead those that are in ministry. Help me to lead the stranger that I don't even know who watches me each and every day. To represent you well, may I lead by good intention and good words and with action that honors and glorifies you. And it's in Jesus name I pray. Amen.”

#HonorGodsOath
“And in verse 18, I would have expected anything but this response at this point. I would have thought that Joshua would have raised up his leaders and his military and said, we got tricked. Let's go destroy them. Let's go totally obliterate them because there is no way that we're standing behind this treaty that we made with this group of people when they acted this way towards us. But the Israelites did not attack them because the leaders of the assembly had sworn an oath to them by who? By the Lord. of Israel.”

#PromisesReflectGod
“We have to let them go. Now, there was a little bit of a caveat to that. We see as we read on in the scriptures that one of the things that they ended up telling them was that they were going to have to end up being their servants. They were gonna carry the water. They would have to collect the wood. They would have to do all of these things that were gonna be a part of being servants to the Israelites from this point forward, and they were okay with that. They said, sure. We will we will walk that road with y'all. Joshua though here, he ties keeping his word. Even a word obtained through deception, he ties it to the character and the reputation of God himself.”
