“The daughters of Zelofehad receive an inheritance that is not gender biased. Now that may not strike you as odd, but it sure would have struck people then as very odd. It's unheard of. And even in some parts of the world today that have no Judeo Christian heritage, this is just simply done. How did this happen? Well, because the Lord spoke. And the case of Zelofehad's daughters before God established the legal inheritance rights of women. Ladies, did you know that? This is one of the earliest documentations of women's rights in the scripture. It became Jewish law, and that was the legal precedent from God that undergirds our inheritance laws today. From God. Ladies, he loves you. He loves you. And you have the same rights as anybody else in the kingdom of God.”

“We who know the Lord are blessed. And in Jesus, we have been adopted into his family, into this family. This too is our heritage. So what will you do with the home and the family and the city and the promises that God will give you. This is our inheritance. As we sang when we began worship today, our God is mighty to save. Let's never forget that.”

“Lord, please go before us in these days that we live in. Help us not to complain, Lord. Help us to be grateful. Help us when we wrestle, Lord, with the sins in our life and even with enemies who come to try to hurt us and destroy us, Lord. Lord, you are greater than all of these things. And we love you, and we thank you, and we praise you. May we always remember who you are, that you love us, that we are your family, and that you are on our side.”
