1. "Now, I believe that this is the very time that God began laying this on my heart. Because as many times as people are going through chaotic times in their life, things are happening and they're having to learn how to deal with things. How to function in life, because there are certain times, based on how you handle a situation, you can stop the blessings of God. There are times that because of the way you handle something, God is able to continue to bless and further the miracles He had planned in your life." (

2. "God allows things to happen to us because it's part of his process. It's part of his purification process. It's time he's going to prove his spirit. And there's time that God wants to see what you're made of. And so he's allowing something to happen. And many times when we go through these situations, I've seen people get all full of chaos and the devil lies to them. And they begin to believe. They begin to believe every lie of the devil." (

3. "You're trying to go higher. You're trying to get closer to God. You're trying to do more for God. And the enemy does not want us growing in Christ Jesus. If he can keep you being a carnal minded, stubborn, rebellious person, he's going to do just that. But when you begin to yield yourself to the Holy Ghost and allowing God to do his perfect will within you, then he's going to be able to cause all kinds of problems." (

4. "That's why I want to look at this evening. Because the word of God says that Joseph acknowledged what was going on, but he also acknowledged God as a source of his wisdom. Listen to this. When Pharaoh asked him a question, he said, it is not in me. He, God, shall give Pharaoh an answer, a peace. When Pharaoh was looking for an answer, if he was desperate, he was upset. And when the king is upset, everybody's upset. Yet Joseph came before him and did not take credit for his ability to interpret the dreams. Instead, humbled before God, he gave glory to God." (

5. "God's willing to work through you. God's willing to use you. And I learned a long time ago at the seminary. If you're usable, God will use you. If you are usable, God will use you. If you don't feel that you've been used of God. If you don't feel that God has used all of your abilities. Maybe, just maybe, God is thinking about something other than your abilities. That you're thinking of." (

6. "We have to sometimes divest ourselves of self. And say, God, not my will. Your will be done. God, I want you to focus on what you want me to focus on. And I've got to control myself. I find myself landing in this situation. I find myself being put in this circumstance. And before I lose, I want to acknowledge that God is in control. I know everything that I'm going through. I know all the things that I'm having to deal with. And I just know that you're working something else. Acknowledge God." (

7. "His ability to trust in God kept him level -headed. I know we have a time now where certain people, they do that and they start yelling and screaming. They get all from the acres and just doing this and saying things that aren't right. But Joseph remained level -headed. Can somebody say he was there? He remained level -headed under all the pressure that he was on. And as God began to heal his heart, he'd been offered practical advice. On what God wanted to do according to the will of God. He was allowing God to use him." (

8. "If you have not been demonstrating self -control in your spirit. To address what God wants you to address. And let go of things that God wants you to let go of. Then let's begin to pray about that. Acknowledge, He is my God. He knows everything that's going on. And I want to do things in His time. I don't need to brag to myself. I don't need to fight my battle. I'm going to let the Lord know. I'm going to glorify my battle. And the Lord will glorify my battle. I know I'm going to be victorious. He knows what to do. He knows when to do it. And at the proper time." (

9. "Rather than saying no to God, he received what God told him to do, and then to walk, and his actions, listen to this now, were in alignment with his trust in God. If we trust in God, we align our actions accordingly. You can't say that you trust in God when you're yelling and screaming to the midst of a battle. You can't say that you trust in God when everything that happens, you're all upset, and you're chaotic, and you're feeling overwhelmed, and you're screaming, you can't say that you trust." (

10. "If God is telling us this is the direction that we need to go, then by faith, make sure your actions are aligned with your word. When you say, I trust in God, step out of the faith. If you say, I trust in God, close your mouth and let God work the situation out. Now, if you don't believe that God can work everything out, go ahead and try to take care of yourself. Curse out this one, slam this door, hit that one with the puck, whatever you want to do. But if we trust in God, we have to stay level -headed, control our spirit, and let the Lord use us." (
