“My life had these transitions as a child. As I said, I grew up in as a PK, a pastor's kid, and we moved about every four years, and so I had to make new friends. Then I went to college at Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan. Why on the earth did I pick a cold state to go to? But it was a small United Methodist College, and I made friends there, some of which I still have. After college, I took minimal weight jobs and built my resume, became a mother and a career in counseling. I took care of my parents as they aged and as they passed away. You all have had these transitions and your own transition, lots of them. Change is not easy, but easier as Joseph said, god is with us. We survive.”
