#PrayerClosetNotPrison
“``You see, this fish was never Jonah's prison. I believe it became Jonah's prayer closet. You and I get into situations, and sometimes we put ourselves in in situations that God can use in a great way in our lives if we'll just humble ourselves. What what looks maybe like a bad situation can become our prayer closet if we let it and if we take advantage of it. Sometimes God will remove every distraction in our lives until all we can see is him. And by the way, that's what you and I should be focusing on.”

#MercyNotJudgment
“God lovingly restores those who humbly return to him. Jonah said salvation is of the lord. God's discipline is never designed to destroy his children, but it is designed to restore you and I. We see chapter one. We know that chapter one ended with Jonah in the sea. The storm had ceased and the sailors probably long gone home or at least to their destination. And all of a sudden, Jonah just kinda disappears beneath the waves. You see, what may have looked like judgment to those sailors that threw him overboard was actually the mercy of God.”

#GrowthOutsideComfort
“God had accomplished with Jonah being in the belly of that fish. God had accomplished what comfort could never accomplish. You see, we sometimes tend to run towards comfort. We when God when God wants us to do things that are uncomfortable, when God wants us to step out of our comfort zone, when God wants us to step out of our box, if you will, so to speak, we tend to always run back to comfort. We always tend to run back to what we know, what we're comfortable with, what we're secure in, but that's not what God wants. Sometimes God wants us to get out of that place so that he can allow us to grow, so he can build us, so he can allow so he can he can expand our hearts, and so he can reveal more of himself to us in and through our lives.”

#StopRunningRunToGod
“Why don't you let him change your heart? Why don't you let him change the direction that you're heading this morning? Why why don't you stop running away from Nineveh? Why don't you stop running away from what God wants you to do? Why don't you stop running away from where God wants you to go? Why don't you stop running away from the relationship that God wants with you? Why don't you just run to his arms? Because he he just may put you in the belly of a fish to give you time to think about it, but he also may put you in the belly of a fish to protect you from yourself.”
