#NoEvangelismExcuses
“Church, let me ask you, what were her credentials for evangelism? What were her credentials for evangelism? How long has she been saved? Fifteen seconds? many bible verses do you think she had memorized? How many bible verses did she quote to the people in the town? How many small group studies do you think she attended? Did she have to take an evangelism class first? Or two or three? Did she care if she had all the right answers? Did she care about rejection or what the people would think of her? She had every excuse in the book not to evangelize. She was a Samaritan. Not only was she a Samaritan, she was a woman.”

#FearIsTheExcuse
“Like Tom sitting on the park bench. Now I want you to notice with these four, do you see how there's one denominator between all of these? The common denominator is fear. Fear. So we convince ourselves that these are legitimate excuses, yet we're so afraid to get stumped when we tell someone. We're so afraid that we're not going to have the right answers. We're so afraid that it's going to be awkward. And can't we just admit for a second that it's not really about these reasons, it's because we're too afraid.”

#FreshFaithShares
“How are those excuses that we went through at the beginning of the message holding up? How are they holding up? Why is it that new believers very often outdo older believers when it comes to evangelism? You see this all the time. You see it right here. So you'd think it would be the other way that the more you learn about scripture and the more knowledgeable you become about God and the more you walk with him, that the more you would do evangelism. what you often see, and it's so beautiful, I see this all the time, is that someone comes to Christ and a week later, all of a sudden, they're coming to church and they've got three neighbors and two coworkers because they've gone to them and gone, I gave my life to Christ and I don't really much but you have to come and see. Happens all the time.”
