with everything that God has for you, the enemy would like to distort it. He would like to distract you. He would like to make it even with good things, he would try to the the goal of the enemy is for if your heart not to be in the right place, is to be in the wrong place. So the enemy wants worship to become spectator driven, emotion dependent, and consumer focused. He wants me to come in and and think that, oh, well, I'm just I'm just spectating. I'm just watching what's happening. They're worshiping I just get to watch. Or I am or it's about my preference or me. Biblical worship, I believe, requires participation. The elders cast their crowns because they realize all authority, every achievement, and every victory came from him. The church, I believe, just in general, must recover a vision of the greatness of God. And that's something I think over the past couple years that I've really seen just this, like just here, I've I've seen just this, like, beautiful emphasis on, like, quite quite literally how small we are compared to God. I [01:12:25] (24 seconds)  #RecoverGodsGreatness Download clip

You're made to worship. You're born to praise. Everyone is worshiping something. I don't I don't believe there's neutral. I don't believe there's if I'm worshiping God or if I'm just not if I feel like I'm not worshiping anything, it's the same way with formation. If I think that I'm not being formed by anything, I'm very wrong. I actually have a choice in what I get formed by. Right. There's no neutral in the same way that if you're trying to create a culture somewhere, if you don't create a culture, a culture still gets created. Whatever this applies to any area of life that I don't believe there's neutral. And so with worship, same thing. I thought about the Dodgers Stadium. I think about people just yelling and how loud it was. [01:36:08] (33 seconds)  #NoNeutralWorship Download clip

And it's the edify the body. When we sing songs that bless God and and the attributes of God I've been a part of this where I've had times I've come in to worship and maybe I'm just having an off week or I'm there's something happened. I'm struggling to believe that God is good. And then the worship who sings goodness of God. And the person next to me to like, raises their hands and starts singing that. What if that's the reminder I need? What if the person next to me singing out the goodness of God is actually the reminder that that builds my faith? [01:32:25] (29 seconds)  #WorshipBuildsFaith Download clip

The the that's that's what it means to edify the body. So that means, like, what if what if you come into this place and you're like, no. I don't I don't feel like worshiping right now. But the person next to you needs a reminder of how good God is. Person next to you needs a reminder that even in the midst of a trial of suffering that God is not absent, that he is present. What if that's why we're here also. It's for the glory of God, but also it's the church also do equip the saints as well. And I believe as we as we worship together, it actually edifies the body of Christ. Because we are the body of Christ. We need each other. And I just wanna say on this side of eternity, there's an offering that I can give him that he promises to not turn away. believe that if if an offering is made out of a pure heart, he he does not turn it away when he just sang day and night, night and day, let incense arise. What is that incense? That that's the praises of his people. That's it's it's let it be a sweet sound and smell. I don't know. But let it be let it be something sweet that's offered up to the Lord. There's other passages that talk about, [01:07:13] (27 seconds)  #PureHeartOfferings Download clip

And so through that breakout session, it shaped this this thought of Jesus is the most important person in the room. When we come to church, no matter no matter where we but but today, I wanna talk through the context of this, of this gathering of when the bible says, do not forsake the assembly of believers, the gathering of believers. We're gonna talk about this. Jesus is the most important person in this room. [01:01:36] (25 seconds)  #JesusIsMostImportant Download clip

And that that alone, I think, also just set the set the tone for the next for up up until even now and beyond. It it changed something in me that I looked at the time and there were five different things just in my life at the time that I feel like I was constantly thinking about because whatever's on the throne of your heart determines your decisions. It determines your outlook. The decisions you make on a week to week basis is determined by what's on the throne of your heart. [01:01:10] (25 seconds)  #ThroneOfTheHeart Download clip
