“But you wanna know what he had to do to get that to be accomplished? He had to pray and plead with God the Father to raise this dead boy up to life. But you wanna know how Jesus does it? Jesus will just kinda walk right up to a coffin and just go, come forth. And the dead people will just come back to life. Lazarus, come forth like his word has performative power. And so, what is this text telling us? It's telling us this, Elijah and Moses borrowed God's glory, and they're like some Michael Jordans of the Old Testament. But Jesus is greater. Jesus is the glory of God standing right there in front of them.”

“What's going what's God telling us here? He's telling us, yeah, all these writers, they were just pointing you to somebody. Moses, Elijah, 39 books, all of that, it's fulfilled in this man, Jesus Christ, and he is here alone. That cloud didn't land on Moses or Elijah, but it hovers over Jesus Christ. Moses and Elijah, they can't deliver the forgiveness of sins for you. They can't deliver salvation for you, but only Jesus Christ who is Lord can deliver that for you. That's what's happening here.”

“And then hey, you might wanna say, well, man, I wanna be free, man. I wanna be free. I wanna do what I wanna do. Call, you know, do, spend my money how I wanna spend it. I wanna drink as much as I wanna drink. But here's what happens. Our freedom turns to slavery. These false gods enslave us. So you might say, I wanna I wanna drink as much as I wanna drink. But then all of a sudden, it's becoming an enslaving thing rather than a gift from God now.”
