#WeWereRescued
“And maybe you weren't expecting me to say that. You might have been expecting me to say, or or we're the Good Samaritan. Like, we've got serving figured out and we give our lives away to help other people. And that's good. Yeah. We should try to be that, but the truth is is that we're not the good Samaritan in this story. Jesus is the Good Samaritan. We're the helpless ones. We were the ones who needed rescue, who could do nothing to save ourselves because of our incredible need.”

#ServeBeyondConvenience
“He isn't merely just give the man something that, you know, he's got I got a little extra time. I'll give you some of my leftovers. He gives his time, his attention, his resources, his schedule. He allowed someone else's needs to interrupt his plans. Free servants of Jesus are voluntarily interrupted because if we're only willing to serve when it's convenient or if we're only willing to serve when we're rested or when we have enough time or when we have enough money or when it's all or or when it's already on the calendar, well, then we're not really serving. We're scheduling.”

#FreedToServe
“He frees us from having to earn God's approval. He feels that he frees us from constantly having to defend our worth. And and so as we get started today, here's kind of the bottom line upfront. Like, if you don't hear anything else I say today, here, this is that Jesus frees us from proving ourselves so that we can spend ourselves serving one another.”
