everyone in this room has a family of origin some of your families were perfectly wonderful and functional families for some in the room your families were not perfectly wonderful or pleasant or even functional but in fact dysfunctional hear this good news when the timing was right according to the grace and kindness of God prophesied from the prophets of old there came one into the world to redeem those who were under this law and curse and this heavy burden of life as it exists in this world so that we might receive adoption as sons [00:02:35] (44 seconds)  #AdoptedAsSons

verse 25 now these are also many other now there are me are also many other things that jesus did other than what john wrote in his gospel so he's saying not only did he do these things but there are many other things that jesus did were every one of them to be written i suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written this is a this is jesus the prophet said here he comes the gospels say here he is look at him go look what he does watch what he accomplishes [00:06:53] (43 seconds)  #MoreWorksOfJesus

one of the goals i have every time i preach is to make jesus famousi want to make jesus so famous i actually would like to disappear here i'd hide behind these poinsettiasi would i want to make jesus famous look at him go he came into the world in this small form of a baby he lived sinlessly he preached boldly he healed miraculously he died vicariously he rose victoriously what a jesus [00:07:39] (42 seconds)  #MakeJesusFamous

yet without sin this jesus who was born miraculously never sinned tempted yet not sinful for us we're tempted and sinful and this is why we need a savior who is not sinful so that he might stand and receive into his body the redemption through god's plan so that we could be seen righteous in god's sight let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need [00:16:09] (42 seconds)  #SinlessSavior

jesus was saying things in the sermon on the mount the religious leaders were not saying the moralists were not saying no one was saying these things when jesus finished these sayings these sayings like what like all of these sayings like you know if you look on a woman to lust after her you're committing adultery if you hate your brother then you're committing murder things like that and when jesus finished these sayings the crowds were astonished astonished at his teaching for he was teaching them as one who had authority and not as their scribes [00:17:24] (42 seconds)  #SermonWithAuthority

for our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might become the righteousness of god hey this is a good word right here if you're a believer in this room this is what happened for you christ's righteousness given to you your sin placed upon jesus if you're a believer in this room that's what's happened if you're not a believer in this room then if you will submit your life and believe upon the name of the lord jesus christ and cry out for mercy then it will be true of you [00:25:32] (47 seconds)  #ChristsRighteousness

this is why we should all believe that jesus is the savior who has come and offers eternal life can you believe that i knew it in my head a long time before i accepted it in my heart intellectual knowledge is not the new birth the new birth comes by the holy spirit jesus died vicariously he rose victoriously [00:27:19] (32 seconds)  #NewBirthByTheSpirit

the baby who came this nostalgic story of christmas that we in our culture to say oh it's a baby jesus oh i love the little babies i love how many of you love the little babies and you well i i like them except that diaper time everyone loves the little babies this baby was born to die behold he was coming the prophets promised and he did come and then he did comeand look at what he did he lived sinlessly he healed generously he preached boldly he died vicariously he rose victoriously [00:28:32] (42 seconds)  #BeholdTheBabyKing
