True knowledge of God comes only by the Holy Spirit’s revelation, not by our own intellect or effort. God is invisible, and unless He reveals Himself, we remain in the dark about who He is, what He is doing, and where He is. Just as Peter recognized Jesus as the Christ not by flesh and blood but by the Father’s revelation, so too must we depend on the Spirit to open the eyes of our understanding. Pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation, that you may know Him more deeply and walk in the hope, inheritance, and power He has given to those who believe. [29:50]
Ephesians 1:15-21 (KJV)
Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.
Reflection: In what area of your life do you need to ask the Holy Spirit for revelation, rather than relying on your own understanding or what others say about God?
God is bringing His people to a place where faith in His word outweighs what is seen or felt in the natural. The world around us may look hopeless, but the just shall live by faith, not by sight. Jesus is working in you so that you are moved more by what you believe than by what you see, just as Peter was called to walk on water by trusting Jesus’ word over the storm. This journey requires us to focus on the unseen, eternal realities rather than the temporary circumstances that surround us. [34:36]
2 Corinthians 4:18 (KJV)
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Reflection: What is one situation today where you are tempted to be moved by what you see or feel? How can you choose to trust what God has said instead?
On the cross, Jesus defeated the devil by removing every accusation and condemnation against us. The enemy’s primary weapon since the fall has been to accuse and condemn, but Jesus took all our sins and nailed them to the cross, disarming principalities and powers. Now, the devil has nothing left to accuse you of—every mistake, every sin, has already been paid for. Stand in the freedom Christ has won, knowing that the enemy’s power over you has been broken. [43:08]
Colossians 2:13-15 (NKJV)
And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
Reflection: Is there an area where you still feel condemned or accused? How can you remind yourself today that Jesus has already paid for it and the enemy’s accusations are powerless?
The authority and power Jesus won are not automatic for everyone—they must be exercised by believers who are filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in Jesus’ name. The devil is still active in the world, but when a believer commands in the name of Jesus, filled with the Holy Ghost, the enemy is rendered powerless. Nothing can resist the word of God spoken by His representative. You are called to represent Jesus on earth, to pray, speak, and act until God’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven. [49:21]
Acts 16:16-18 (NKJV)
Now it happened, as we went to prayer, that a certain slave girl possessed with a spirit of divination met us, who brought her masters much profit by fortune-telling. This girl followed Paul and us, and cried out, saying, “These men are the servants of the Most High God, who proclaim to us the way of salvation.” And this she did for many days. But Paul, greatly annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And he came out that very hour.
Reflection: Where do you need to step out and use the authority Jesus has given you—whether in prayer, in your home, or in your community—trusting that the enemy cannot resist the word of God spoken in faith?
The Holy Spirit is not only revealing Jesus to you, but also helping you see yourself as God’s representative—His commander—on earth. Until you see yourself under God’s authority, you will not walk in the authority He has given you. As you begin to see yourself as a creation commander, sent by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit, you will start to put things under your feet and reclaim what the enemy has stolen. Pray for God to open your eyes to your true identity and calling, so you can walk in victory and help bring God’s will to earth. [52:58]
Luke 10:19 (ESV)
Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.
Reflection: What is one area of your life where you have not seen yourself as God’s representative with authority? How can you begin to act today as a commander under God’s authority in that area?
Tonight’s study centers on the reality that Jesus is actively plundering the devil’s kingdom, reclaiming what was lost and restoring authority to His people. The journey begins with the recognition that true knowledge of God comes only by revelation through the Holy Spirit. Just as Peter’s confession of Christ was not from human insight but divine revelation, so too must our understanding of Jesus’ victory and our place in it be revealed to us by God Himself. This is why Paul prays in Ephesians for believers to receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that the eyes of our hearts are enlightened to the hope, inheritance, and power available to us.
Jesus’ authority, given by the Father, is not a passive title but an active mandate. He is seated at the right hand of God, not as a distant observer, but as the executive officer reclaiming all that the enemy has stolen from humanity. Yet, the challenge for us is that this victory is not always visible. Our senses often tell us that evil is prevailing, that we are powerless, and that hope is lost. But faith is the means by which we access the unseen realities of God’s kingdom. We are being trained to be moved more by what we believe than by what we see, to look not at the temporary things around us but at the eternal truths God has spoken.
The plundering of the devil’s house began at the cross, where Jesus disarmed the enemy by removing every accusation and condemnation against us. The charges that gave the devil power over humanity were nailed to the cross, rendering him powerless over those who are in Christ. After His resurrection, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit, empowering believers with authority so superior to the enemy’s that it is as if the devil has no power at all. However, this victory is not automatic for everyone; it is accessed by faith. The devil remains active among those who do not believe, but for those who stand in the authority of Jesus’ name, filled with the Spirit, the enemy is rendered helpless.
Our calling, then, is to see ourselves as God’s representatives on earth, commanding with His authority, speaking His word, and enforcing His will. The Holy Spirit is working in us to shift our identity from victims to commanders, so that we might put all things under our feet and see God’s glory revealed through us. The victory of Jesus is not just a theological truth but a practical reality to be lived and enforced by faith.
Ephesians 1:15-23 (ESV) — > For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love toward all the saints, I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he put all things under his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
Colossians 2:13-15 (ESV) — > And you, who were dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross. He disarmed the rulers and authorities and put them to open shame, by triumphing over them in him.
2 Corinthians 4:18 (ESV) — > As we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.
He's working on you to get you to the place where if you were walking, if you were like, if you were in a boat and there was a storm, you would believe more in the word, Jesus said, when Jesus said to Peter, come, you would believe more in what he said than what you see. We see things and that's what moves our emotions. We see things and that's what makes us either stand still in fright or take off running. It's what we see and what we hear people say. But Jesus is working on us. Say he's working on me. He's working on us to bring us to the place that what we see is what we believe. Not what we see with our eyes. [00:35:56] (29 seconds) #BeliefTransformsPerception
He is bringing us to the place. He's going to make you a person that looks and sees. He's going to make you a person that sees things that are not seen. Because then you'll begin to have things that you haven't seen. [00:37:15] (16 seconds) #SeeingTheUnseen
But first you've got to believe that he has provided. You've got to believe that he's got it. You've got to believe that he is actually taking what the devil took from you and giving it back to you. But you've got to believe that more than what you believe. More than what you see. And more than what you hear in the world. [00:37:59] (21 seconds) #BelieveBeyondTheVisible
The Lord Jesus gives you power. Now listen to this. He gives you power that's so far superior to the devil's power. It's as though the devil has no power. He has given you, listen, so much power. It's so far superior to anything that all the devil's put together. It's so far superior that it is as though the devil has no power. [00:45:56] (36 seconds) #BelieversOvercomeInJesusName
Nothing can resist the word of God, whether spoken by God himself, or by God's representative, who's under his authority. This is so important that you don't miss this. [00:49:58] (17 seconds) #BelieversChangeTheWorld
A believer is someone who believes, that we've been sent with power of the Holy Ghost power, and given the name of Jesus to speak God's word, to represent his will on the earth. And anything that's not lining up with God's will, our job is to change it. Those things are just temporary. Our job is to pray, and to speak, and to work until it's changed. Until the will of God is on earth, just like it is in heaven. And a person who believes that, changes things. But people who don't believe that, are changed by the devil. Somebody's gonna win, and somebody's gonna lose. That's why God gave you power. And that's why God gave you his word. And that's why God gave you the name of Jesus. Because God wants you to win. He wants you to win. He wants you to win. [00:50:50] (67 seconds) #CreationSubjectToGodsWord
Demons and all creation, are powerless to resist the word of God's commands. It is as though they are disarmed, disabled, tied up, and rendered helpless, to resist God's commands. Sickness, disease, spirits of infirmity, the cells in your body, are all subject to God's commands. Whether again, whether spoken by God himself, or by God's representative, in the earth.
