This high priest of ours understands our weaknesses. Praise the Lord. I know I'm not the only one in here that has gotten weak sometimes. He understands our weaknesses. He understands our struggles. He understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly, let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy and we will find grace to help it, to help us when we need it most. [00:06:02] (49 seconds) Edit Clip

I know that you've given your life to Christ. And maybe some of you did last week during this Easter season. And you are on your way in this journey. And maybe you've hit some roadblocks along the way. I came to encourage you that there's somebody praying for you. I came to encourage you that there's somebody that can identify with all of your weaknesses and all of your struggles. And you don't have to look very far because the Bible says greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Did I come to talk to somebody? Sometimes you don't even know what to say. You don't even know how to pray. But thank God my spirit bears witness with his spirit that I am a child of God. [00:09:43] (39 seconds) Edit Clip

But then Jesus Christ came, fulfilling the law and prophets, conquering sin, shattering all barriers to God, and freely providing eternal life. Now I understand, people of God, why Jesus took Peter, James, and John on the mountain to be transfigured before them. [00:12:20] (23 seconds) Edit Clip

It takes time to get over generational curses and mindsets that have been prevalent throughout the members of your family. But thanks be to God, he tears them all down in the name of Jesus and he can use you to be a conduit of a generational blessing where there was a generational curse. So I was thinking to myself, God, how in the world can we be pleasing unto you? But then as I read the book of Galatians, I came to an understanding that the law was my tutor. The law was my schoolmaster to lead me to Christ. I wouldn't understand my need for him and the reason why I need to repent if I didn't understand what sin was. Because the Bible says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus. Am I talking to somebody today? [00:17:56] (28 seconds) Edit Clip

See, when the old covenant was established, it was written on stone tablets. But when God prophesied about this new covenant, he said, I'm going to take my laws that are written on stone tablets, and I'm going to write them on the tablets of your heart. And how I'm going to accomplish this is through the power of the Holy Spirit. So now when you live your life as a Christian, that's why you have that check in your spirit when you're about to do something that's contrary to his will. It's positive proof that you are his son, that you are his daughter. [00:20:06] (31 seconds) Edit Clip

And that's positive proof that he loves you. And he has a plan and a destination for you to arrive at. So don't despise his correction. He disciplines those in whom he loves. And I've learned to appreciate the conviction of the Holy Spirit. And you got to be careful because condemnation tries to come sometimes with conviction. Conviction is from the Holy Spirit, but condemnation is from the devil. But see, you got to remind the devil in Romans 8 .1, it says there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Even the Bible says in Proverbs, a just man may fall seven times, but he rises back up again. But the enemy will come to you when you fall. And maybe some of you fail this week and he'll come to you. You might as well not even go to church. You might as well stop reading your Bible. You might as well stop trying to be a godly husband, a godly wife, a godly parent. The devil is a liar. Get behind me saying, I may have made a mistake, but I'm getting back up and I'm pressing forward towards the mark of the high calling. [00:20:59] (60 seconds) Edit Clip

He saw what he was about to face. He saw the ridicule and the pain. See, this is what gets me so hyped up about God and just want to brag on Jesus and give him my life because they slapped him in the face with the hand that he created. They beat him with their fist, with the very fist that he created. They literally put a crown of thorns on his head. They ran a cat of nine tails across his back and they crucified him and he knew all of it was going to happen before it came. [00:39:57] (30 seconds) Edit Clip

See, it's this kind of stuff that will get you up early in the morning and want to worship God. See, it's this kind of stuff that makes you want to live right, that makes you want to serve God and to lay aside every sin and weight that so easily beset you. Because if you were willing to go through that, how can I treat you like this when you've been too good to me? See, that's what changed my heart because it was a process in me becoming more like Christ and there were a lot of struggles that I had to work through. But what broke the camel's back in my life is, God, you are too good for me to continue acting the way I'm acting. [00:40:57] (35 seconds) Edit Clip
