#JesusPursuesYou
“Here's the point. Jesus does not avoid people who need his touch, but instead he takes him by the hand. And let me just tell you, maybe you've walked in here and you felt out of place. Maybe you felt unclean unworthy. You know your heart, you know your thoughts, you know your past, you know what you've been through. But here's here's the point, Is that no matter where you are, no matter what you've done, Jesus is not avoiding you. In fact, I would say the opposite is probably true, is that he's actually pursuing you right now.”

#JesusIsTheOnlyWay
“You can't save yourself. You can't make up for yourself. You can't open your eyes enough. You can't come to the logical conclusion yourself. You cannot redeem yourself from the sin and the wrath of God. The only way this is gonna happen is if I do it, I must do it. Jesus suffered. Jesus bled. Jesus was killed upon the cross as a substitute for those who would see and believe.”

#SubstituteForSin
“And the father's will from all eternity was that Christ the Messiah would suffer, that Christ the Messiah would die, that Christ would come as the substitute for our sins so that the son of man, he must suffer, he must be rejected because that's the penalty that you and I deserve. He must go through those things because you and I deserve those things. He must be rejected because you and I deserve to be rejected. He must be killed because the wages of sin is death. And he says, I'm going to be the substitute for you. It's the only way.”

#SurrenderToJesus
“And the only way that I can come into salvation is through a broken spirit, a bended knee, a helpless soul, a blind man begging for Jesus to touch him. Laying down my own ability to save myself is the only way to eternal life. Begging, Jesus, please take my hand. Please lead me out of that old life. Please open my eyes. Please open my mind so that I might see clearly.”

#OnceForAll
“Jesus is the priest of all priests who come and offer forgiveness of sins, not by an offering of a bull or a goat, but rather by offering himself as the one and only sacrifice for sin for all time. Jesus says, listen, I'm so much more. I am the king above all kings. I'm not just the king over Rome, I am the king over the world. And my glory and my kingdom is for all people in all nations, and my dominion is an everlasting dominion, and it will never ever ever be destroyed. And so the son of man must suffer. He must be rejected. He must be killed.”

#MessiahAndTheCross
“They had no idea what it meant for Jesus to be the savior, the king, the messiah. In this moment, they're trying to put it all together. But the disciples, like so many people today, they want a Jesus who has a government on his shoulders, but they don't want a Jesus who has a cross on his shoulders. They want Jesus to just restore peace, but rather, they they don't understand that he has to die.”

#ResurrectionHope
“So the end of the story is not death. The end of the story is eternal life, meaning victory over sin. Victory over death. So if you confess that Jesus is the Christ, when you see that the Christ has come and suffered and died for you due to a divine revelation, but then you come and start to see clearly for yourself, and you believe in your heart that the tomb is empty, that that cross is not the end, that he is risen, and that you've been touched, and you start to see everything more clearly.”

#HealingInHisTiming
“And so in their mind and in their heart, they didn't have a connection between suffering and the conquering messiah king. Because their messiah was supposed to defeat evil. The messiah was supposed to stop injustice. The messiah was supposed to make everything right in the world. How can the messiah defeat evil and die? It doesn't make sense. I don't understand. We know the story. We know the end of the book. We know how it ends. But they didn't understand. And Jesus says, I must, Meaning, he's indicating that he's planning to die, but also that he's going voluntarily and by his own will. He's not just predicting that it's going to happen. He says, it must happen.”
