#ConfessAndSurrender
“``Here's what I want you to feel this morning. There's a difference between confession or confessing Jesus as Lord and confessing him as my Lord. The first is a cosmic fact. He reigns over all creation whether anyone acknowledges it or not. The second is a personal throne. Now, watch this. My throne, the throne of my will, my plans, my future, my preferences. And the spirit does not just give you the confession, the spirit gives you the surrender that the confession demands.”

#YokedWithJesus
“This yoke is spelled differently in the bible. Some people think it's scrambled eggs and over easy bake over easy eggs. No. The yoke Jesus spoke of is this wooden crossbar that joins two oxen together at the neck. So they pull the load side by side. That is the picture, folks. Not a burden strapped to your backbone or back alone, but a harness that binds you to another who pulls you. Now, hold that image for a moment because that's the very heart of what it means to make Jesus the lord of your life. Lordship is not a load laid on your shoulders. It's being yoked to the one who carries you.”

#SurrenderYourThrone
“The Lord. But I want you to feel the weight of the little word this morning. There is a difference between confessing him as the Lord. Now watch this. Or the cosmic fact that he reigns over all and confessing him as the lord of my life. The first is a truth I acknowledge. The second is a throne I surrender.”

#RestInHisYoke
“Well, I I've confessed it. I cast my care before the lord. It's still here. Well, that tells me you haven't come to him. Come on. Are you listening to me? Come on. And what does he offer? Good news is rest. Not the absence of work, but the presence of a companion in the work, not the removal of the burden, but the sharing of it. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. Not because there is nothing to carry, but because he is the harness beside you folks. And he his strength is infinite and his gentleness is real and his heart towards you is lowly and kind. That is what it means to make Jesus the lord of your life. It it is not servant to, it's partnership. Hallelujah. It is surrender. Yes. But surrender to the one who loves you more than his own life.”
