#FinishedWork
“And notice what the writer says there. He says, after after the cross, after he became the sacrifice on the cross and gave his life for us. After he died and was placed within the tomb and then three days later he's resurrected by the power of God. After fifty days hanging out with folks and and showing himself to be alive, he ascends to the father and I love this. He sat at the right hand of the father. God the son is seated right now at the right hand of the father. His work finished. That's the only reason Jesus would be sitting down. His mission is complete. Everything that needed to be done for you and I to be saved was completed by Jesus. That's why it's much better.”

#JesusIsBetter
“It's one thing for us to have that representation in a foreign country than for air force one to land on the tarmac and the president himself to walk out. That indicates that something of great importance needs to be said. That the president himself would come and deliver it. Brings us the same thing here. The writer of Hebrews wants us to understand that Jesus is God's final to his creation. Everything that Jesus taught and said is God speaking directly to his creation. So Jesus is much better. What he has to say is much better than anything that has been said before.”

#GodCares
“God cares deeply about anything and everything that you will encounter on this planet. He cares And if we will seek him, he will provide a wisdom that we can find nowhere else. Because the one that created us, who knows us so intimately, knows exactly what we need. Isn't that incredible? God knows us that intimately. Little scary, isn't it? He hears every thought. He sees every action. He knows every disappointment. He sees it all. And he responds with love toward us. Jesus is truly better.”

#FaithInEveryArea
“I'm afraid that many people, even in the church, they relegate their faith to just one aspect or one compartment, if you will, of their lives. You know, I've got my my faith, then I've got my my my work life, and and then over here I've got my recreational life, and and and then I've got this part of life, and and and so faith is a part of my life. And I'm afraid many treat their faith that way. And they don't understand that our faith in Christ is supposed to inform every other area of our lives.”

#BaptismBegins
“But friends, what happens in that tub, that's just the beginning. That's not the destination. And I'm afraid that we treat it like that. Once we get the people in there and baptize them, okay, they're done now. They're just waiting for heaven. Now we're on to the next person that needs to make the decision so that we can dunk them in there and then now they're waiting for eternity. No. No. What happens there, that's the beginning of their walk with Christ. And the remainder of their days on this planet, they get to walk with Jesus. They get to have a relationship with him that speaks to every area of life. Not just where they're gonna spend eternity, but but what is going on in your life. Right? Do you know that church?”

#JesusShowsGod
“I challenge you. Go back and read the gospels again. And I want you to read it with the eye of seeing how Jesus related to people. See see how Jesus interacted with the religious leaders. See how Jesus interacted with people that were broken and hurting, demonized, sick. See how Jesus interacted with people that weren't a part of the Commonwealth of Israel. See how he treated them. Because Jesus would would say declaratively to all of us today, if you see how I treat people, then you've seen how God treats people. So if you wanna know how he's gonna interact with you, look at how he interacted with the people in the gospels.”

#TrustGodsTiming
“Why is that? Why was Jesus never in a hurry? Because he knew who he was. He knew he was and is exactly in the nature of God. Didn't have to hurry. Because, you see, time is irrelevant to the one who sits outside of time, who created time. You see, God is not limited in any way, and Jesus is not limited in any way. That's why he's much better.”

#CastYourCares
“That God cares about what you're going through right now. That's why in scripture, he tells us to cast all of our cares upon him because he cares Do you know that church? God cares about every situation that you're dealing with right now. He cares about it. The one who created you, He's put the instruction in your heart, the Holy Spirit, to help you navigate every situation that you'll find yourself in.”
