#ResurrectionReality
“And I get to thinking, what if Mary and the others that day had found something else to do, rather than go to the tomb? What what if they had had tried to stay busy so they didn't have to think about the most significant thing that had happened in their lives? What if what if they had stiffened their spines against the reality? What if they had just resisted it and tried mostly to forget about it as a way of moving on? What would that have changed? It would not have changed the fact that the power of god was at work. All of those would have been detours that didn't lead much of anywhere, but none of that would have changed what god was doing. None of that would have changed that Jesus would still be risen.”

#LifeInTheInBetween
“Easter tells us that the risen Jesus that are in between places are his intersections. That's really where he wants to meet us. And any gardener knows all you can ever do is really plant a lot of times what seems lifeless and then watch and wait. The promise of Easter is that no matter what the situation, no matter what the in between, new life is possible, not just way down the road when the story's finished, not only when belief feels easy, but right here in the becoming. Your fear does not cancel out your faith. Uncertainty does not prevent Jesus from encountering you.”
