#FruitFromTheVine
“A fruit is funny because fruit doesn't just grow. It doesn't grow because the branch works harder. My table doesn't get cleared off because I work really hard to clear it off. Fruit is achieved by a branch not by a branch working harder. It's birthed by a branch remaining connected to the vine. We are the branch church. The vine is Jesus. So if our lives are to produce this precious fragile fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, faithfulness. We have to live from the table where these fruits are found.”

#JesusHeadOfMyTable
“When you decide to follow Jesus, when you decide to make him the king of your life, the head of your table, you don't sit here. This is your table. His body broken for you. The bread of life. His blood shed to wash you clean. A perfect sacrifice made in your place. Your table is no longer cluttered with anything. Your table is filled with the cross of king Jesus. Jesus. And that is where you get to live from.”

#LiveFromTheCross
“Church, the conquering is the cross, and that is where we get to live from. Not here. This will still always be here, but you have a choice. You can choose to live from this place and be stressed out and lacking joy and peace and patience, or you can live from the cross that fills the table that's been prepared for you. The high chair in my home is still empty, but the head of my table is not, and it never will be. I get to live from a place that Jesus took my spot. He took my pain of an empty high chair and said, Lord, I made a spot for you. Are you gonna take it?”

#NoClutterAtKingsTable
“They're all beautiful expressions of things the lord has planted inside of us. These desires he plants deep in our hearts. But hear me here because this is what I missed. The problems rise when we let our desires into the seat that was made for one, for the king. Because look at this table, it's a mess. There's no place to eat. Is it any wonder why I was angry or why you are or why arguments seem to come out of nowhere? When there's clutter in my house, I can't think straight. And if this is the table I'm coming from, I can't have a a healthy relationship with anyone. There's no room here anything but what we've put on it. We're hungry and this table and the things on it, they don't satisfy.”

#LooseYourGrip
“I had no joy. I lost it. I knew Jesus. I knew he died for me. I followed him. I'd even thank him for the meal I was mad about. Maybe that's you. God, thank you for all these bills you're teaching us that you will provide because it was me. God, thank you for teaching us how to wait. I know your timing is perfect. Thank you for training my trust. But I didn't live from my words. I lived from the table that was cluttered. I surrendered my plans, but I didn't loosen my grip. I didn't look up at who was at the head of my table. Jesus died for my freedom, but I was still living in a state of bondage because the table I was at was cluttered with all of my imperfections.”

#FindMercyAtHisTable
“This table isn't satisfying. It's not a table that's been prepared for me, for you. And if we're living here, we're hungry, we're angry, we're frustrated, all of those things that we just read about. You could say we're living in a constant state of hanger. I'm not pleasant when I'm hangry, so it's not a surprise that I had lost my joy. But God is so rich in mercy and loves us so much. He's good enough and big enough to change everything because this is not where we're meant to come from.”

#LiveFromTheTable
“And here's the thing. We can't eat from his table today and forget what it means soon as we walk through those doors. can't eat from his table and hold on to all the hard emotions of the unpaid bills, the exhaustion, the busyness. You can't sit with those feelings because you don't stay at a table once you're full. You go and you use the nourishment you've received. So church, we've received the son of God dying for us and then getting up and walking out of the grave.”

#WhoSitsAtYourTable
“Like I said, the answer isn't what challenged me because I knew it. The answer was Jesus, but the challenge came from the action that comes from the answer. And if you follow Jesus, I wanna challenge you with the same thing that challenged me. So if you have your message maps, go ahead and take those out if you're following on the YouVersion app. The first blank is not something I'm going to give you. You're gonna write your name in there because the Lord wasn't asking me to answer him. He was saying, Dolores, who sits at the head of your table? Then live like you eat at my table because you do.”
