The truth that God is not a distant, far-off deity changes everything. He is a present King, intimately involved with His creation. Through the work of Jesus on the cross, we have been brought near. This nearness is not based on our feelings but on the finished work of Christ. We can have confidence that He is with us in every moment. [11:05]
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” (Ephesians 2:13, ESV)
Reflection: In what area of your life do you most need to be reminded that God is not distant but is right there with you? How might acknowledging His presence change your perspective in that situation today?
The holiness and majesty of God are overwhelming, yet we are invited to approach Him with the confidence of a child. We do not come based on our own merit but on the access granted to us through Jesus Christ. This relationship transforms our prayers from formal petitions to intimate conversations. We can come to our good Father with every need, large or small. [01:28:26]
“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16, ESV)
Reflection: What is one specific concern you have been hesitant to bring to God, and what would it look like to bring it to Him today with the trusting heart of a child asking their father?
There is a profound power in declaring who God is, especially when our emotions don't align with the truth. Singing and speaking biblical truths about His character allows theology to move from our heads to our hearts. This practice can bypass our doubts and nourish our spirits. It is an act of faith that reinforces what we know to be true. [01:29:26]
“I will bless the LORD at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” (Psalm 34:1, ESV)
Reflection: When you feel discouraged, which specific truth about God’s character—such as His goodness, faithfulness, or nearness—do you most need to declare aloud to help your heart believe what your mind knows?
God’s faithfulness is not dependent on our perception of His answers. He promises to hear and answer when we seek Him, even when the outcome looks different than we expected. Our trust is placed in His character, not in a specific outcome. We can have confidence that He is always working for our good and His glory. [01:40:39]
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” (1 John 5:14-15, ESV)
Reflection: Recall a time you sought the Lord and His answer looked different than you hoped. How can you choose to trust in His faithfulness and perfect will in that situation, even now?
Freedom is not just a theological concept but a present reality to be lived in. Christ's work on the cross has definitively broken the power of sin, shame, and old mindsets. This freedom is a gift to be received and walked out daily. We are called to leave the grave of our past and live in the newness of life He provides. [01:57:35]
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” (John 8:36, ESV)
Reflection: What is one "old mindset" or "heart posture" that you feel God inviting you to leave in the grave so you can more fully walk in the freedom He has already given you?
An extended night of worship centers on the nearness and worthiness of Jesus, inviting a sustained response of praise and reverence. The gathering emphasizes that God is not distant but present, a king who draws people near by his blood and deserves wholehearted honor. Corporate singing and open space for physical movement create an environment where theology meets the heart—words of scripture and song aim to move truth from the mind into deep, felt conviction. Communion and a doxology-based prayer anchor the evening in liturgy that confesses sin, petitions mercy, and magnifies the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
A teaching on childlike access reframes intimacy with God: believers inherit a posture of bold, dependent approach like a child waking a good father; that access carries responsibility to trust God’s character. The cross stands as the defining proof of God’s goodness; understanding Jesus’ sacrifice clarifies why God can be trusted even when answers look different than expected. Music functions as a theological bridge—melody and communal voice bypass intellectual resistance to let truth land in places words alone sometimes cannot reach.
The service issues a clear invitation to bring burdens and unanswered prayers to the feet of Christ, coupled with a reassurance that God hears and answers, though answers may arrive in unexpected shapes. Songs about freedom conclude the night in jubilant affirmation: personal transformation, deliverance from old mindsets, and a call to walk daily in the liberty secured by the Son. Practical gratitude and community recognition close the gathering, highlighting the team and shared labor of worship. Overall, the night models a rhythm of confession, exaltation, and reliance—an immersive space where doctrine, song, and sacraments converge to revive faith, kindle hope, and launch people into lived freedom.
I believe there's something powerful that happens when we come into a space like this and we we point to who he is. He alone is worthy. He alone is holy. He alone is worthy of all of all blessing, of all honor, of all glory. But I heard this quote. I think it was by Tim Keller, but he said, who would dare wake up a king at 3AM asking for a glass of water but a kid? And he says, we have that kind of access. Because he alone is holy. He alone is Lord. He alone is worthy. But when we put our faith in him, that that makes us children of his.

God is good. Amen. Amen. He is good. That that is a fact of who Jesus is, of who God is. He is worthy. He alone is good. And and again, we as we went through communion, we sang about the cross. We can't understand his goodness outside of the cross. But I believe there's something powerful that happens that when any one of us can walk in this room and either feel really encouraged and ready to sing or really discouraged, and the last thing I wanna do is sing. The last thing I wanna do is put my hands up. But what's really cool is when we sing the truth of who God is,

There's something powerful that happens because you may be standing next to someone that needs a reminder of His goodness. You may be that person that needs a reminder of His goodness. But no matter of no matter where we're at in this room, our hearts get to receive his goodness right now. So we're going to we're going to sing a couple songs to to end tonight that focuses on his goodness. Because there's something powerful that when we lift up our voice, maybe the person next to us needed uplifting, needed encouragement in that moment. And what if it's through the song that you sing that that person next to you or you receive a glimpse of his goodness?

that I believe every single person in this room has at some point or another has sought the Lord on something. And sometimes it doesn't look the way we think it should look, but I promise you he answers. I promise you, God he answers. When you put his your trust in him, he answers. So right now, Right now is an invitation to just the things that you have maybe already have sought the Lord on, but maybe things you need to seek the Lord on. Right now is an invitation to lay those at his feet.

Because you can declare in faith that I sought the Lord and he heard and he answered and even if it doesn't look like what I think it looks like or should look like or feel like what it should feel like, he is faithful to answer. He will never fail. So if we believe that, sing I sought the Lord.
