The call to keep Jesus first stands at the center of family life, whether someone is single, married, raising kids, or loving grandkids. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but Jesus comes to give abundant life, and greater is He in believers than he that is in the world. The kingdom transfer of salvation gives families a new identity, a new King, and a new way to walk.

The priority of Christ does not mean sports, creativity, school, and fun are bad. The priority of Christ means all of those good things stay secondary to what God has called a family to be. The pursuit of God’s kingdom brings no regrets, because Jesus first is never a wasted life.
