#BeTheChurch
“``this week, refuse to demand from others the perfection that you aren't giving them. Become the kind of Christian that you wish the church was full of. Bring encouragement. Offer forgiveness. Fight for unity. Speak life. with stubbornness and patience. And remember that you're not merely called to attend the church, you're called to be the church. So may the Lord heal everyone. May he touch every place that we've been inflicted. May he guard your heart against bitterness and the slow poison of unforgiveness.”

#ResurrectionNotRenovation
“The Christian life is not a moral renovation. It's a resurrection. God does not look at Christians as patients in various stages in a hospital needing improvement. You can go to the emergency room and then go to ICU and then go to a step down, a PCU, and then go in a regular room and hopefully go back home but that's not the way god works on us. He said that you have died and the old is gone and the new has come.”

#TruthTellsWholeStory
“When we look at this apologetically to balance it out, ancient legends always glorify their heroes. They never tell you what was wrong. The change in the armor. But the Bible exposes it. If Christianity were a fabricated religion, why include the embarrassing stories? Why record the apostles arguing about which one of them was gonna be the greatest? Why show Peter denying Christ three times with an oath? Why document the disputes of the early church for all of history to read? Because truth tells the whole story.”

#JudgeChristNotChristians
“Hypocrisy, therefore, is a human problem, not a Christian problem. It exists in hospitals, universities, courtrooms, and families. hypocrisy were grounds for rejection, there would be no institution left standing including the family unit. The honest measure is not whether Christians are perfect then. The honest measure is whether Jesus Christ is who he claimed to be. Judge Christianity by Christ, not by those still learning to follow him.”

#GodsNotLeft
“The mess in the church doesn't mean that god's left the building. It means that god's never left his people hopeless. Amen. So, the tension that we've gotta deal with today. If Christianity teaches that human beings are sinners, then why are we shocked when Christians who all of us still are human by the way? Why are we surprised that struggle comes along? how we deal with it. Hypocrisy doesn't disprove Christianity. It confirms Christianity's diagnosis of humanity.”

#ConflictIsOpportunity
“Listen to what he said. Choose me in full of the holy ghost, holy spirit, and full of wisdom to resolve the matter. Here's here's what I wanna get across. Key thought. Conflict is not proof that the church has failed. No. It's not. It's an opportunity. How many times have you heard me say that? It's an opportunity for a church to mature. Amen. No. You didn't hear me.”

#PeacemakerNotFirestarter
“The early church was not united because everyone agreed it was united because Christ mattered more than personal preference. And they refused to let conflict fester into division. Let's apply this. When conflict comes, ask yourself honestly, write fast because I gotta move. Gotta keep moving. Here's what you need to ask yourself when conflict comes. Am I a peacemaker or a fire starter? Am I a peacemaker or am I a fire starter?”

#ProgressOverPerfection
“Stop expecting one another to be perfect and look at how far they've come. Amen. And rejoice with them. Hallelujah. Glory. Glory. People will disappoint. Yes, we will. Leaders will fail. Churches will make mistakes. But imperfect people do not disprove a perfect savior. Amen. Adjusting that expectation alone doesn't lower the bar of Christianity. It opens the door for honesty and grace filled community. Hallelujah.”
