#GraceThroughFaith
“It is a gift freely given to us, and it is only received by grace. You can't do it. You can't do it on your own. You can't work hard enough. Grace is unearned kindness. So if we receive this by grace, anything that we think we have done to earn it, you're wrong. There is no earning this grace. It is unearned by definition. And the only way is through faith, through believing and trusting in the Lord Jesus Christ. That's it.”

#EternalLifeNow
“confirming that kinda what we just talked about in the big God story that, hey, you were in right standing. You knew God. You walked with God, and now you're not. And what Jesus is saying is we're going back to that place of being able to be in right standing with God the father. That's his intent. The only way to do that is through Jesus, though. So Jesus is laying out the plan. Eternal life. What is eternal life? We talk about our eternal life like, one day I'm gonna experience eternal life. When I die, I'm gonna have eternal life. Yes. That's true. But you need to understand that eternal life is right now. Eternal life is now.”

#RelationshipOverReligion
“The real discriminator is not what we have done, but who we know. Ephesians says if we don't have that, then we're boasting. It's not by works, so any man can boast. If we have works without Christ, it's just us boasting. So does all this make sense? So this is key to our faith, church. This is key to our faith. If you don't get this, if we don't get this, then the rest doesn't matter.”

#BeTheLight
“The only thing that can eradicate darkness is light. That's it. You cannot battle darkness with more darkness. You battle darkness with light. We are called to be salt and light. We are called to be the body of Christ, church. We are the body of Christ. As a result, we are to be his hands and his feet to a hurting and dying world. We wanna reach out in love, not judgment or condemnation.”

#FaithInAction
“The point is is that it's not me doing good stuff that makes me earn my way to heaven. It's my knowledge, my relationship, my intimacy with the father in heaven that changes my heart and changes my mind. And out of that comes good stuff. It's good works. It's stuff that he's laid out for us to do. So it's really him still doing it. He just allows me to hold the flashlight while he's changing the oil. He's the one that's doing all the hard work. I just get to participate in what he's doing.”

#BuiltOnTheRock
“Follow on in scripture. It goes down to the wise and foolish builders. The next thing that Jesus talks about is the foundation of the word of God upon which we are building all these things. If you're just doing good works without Jesus, then you're building on sand. If you have the rock solid foundation of the Lord Jesus Christ in your life and you're doing good works, great. You're building on the rock solid foundation of Christ Jesus, a relationship with him. That's the way that Jesus actually closes out the sermon on the mount.”

#KnowGod
“That you may know the one true living God in Jesus Christ whom you have sent. God wants to be in relationship with you. He wants you to know him. He already knows you. He created you. Scripture says he created you in your mother's womb. Scripture says that he knows the number of hairs on your head. He knows you. He wants you to know him. That's his desire for you this morning. That's his desire for us this morning.”

#JesusReconciles
“Man was created in the image of god because of man's sin. There was separation from god. God wanting to have right relationship, right standing with his imagers, his people, his creation. He sends himself in the form of Jesus to come and die on a cross for all sin, for all men, for all time. He dies on the cross and then is resurrected, beats death, hell, the grave, ascends the right hand of the father, baking away where there was previously no way. Where sin had separated us from the father, now through Jesus' death, burial, resurrection, we have the ability to be in right standing with God the father.”
