52s
“``What does it mean to be a Christian? It means that the tragedy of my life has been turned into a testimony of the goodness and mercy of God. What is what did Christ accomplish for my life and for eternity? He provides a way for me to be reconciled to him. That's what the work of Christ did, and that's the offer of the gospel that every one of us are offered. Who does god say that I am? Redeemed, chosen, made holy, a proclaimer of his excellencies, a child and inheritor of all creation. And what is the purpose of life? To seek justice, love mercy, walk humbly with your god, to know him and to love him forever.”
54s
“I can't get bread anywhere else. Jesus isn't saying, I I give you the bread of life and that's a thing that satisfies your needs, and then maybe somebody else could give you that bread of life, but because it's it's something separate from me. No. He says, I am the bread of life. Jesus doesn't give me what I need. He is what I need. Life with faith in Jesus satisfies our our actual spiritual needs. It isn't something that helps get there. It is the thing. It is the thing I need. Nothing else. Jesus gives us things out of his character. He's our father. God is our father, but he is the satisfaction of our needs in in every way. It's not what he does, it's who he is.”
55s
“How dare me call myself how dare I call myself a father a son of god. He's my father. How dare I make that claim? There isn't a bigger claim to make that god is my dad, god is my father. There is no greater title in all of creation than to be a son of the almighty god. That's Do we understand what this means? We're inheritors of all of creation. We're co heirs with Christ. This is now I can't make that claim about myself, but he makes that claim about me, and he makes that claim about you. If you're a believer, this is you. You are a son of God. This this like, this is a bigger deal than we're capable of understanding.”
72s
“you might write, our identity in Christ is beautiful. It is beautiful. It is something that satisfies. It is something that we need, that we can't replace with anything else. life without faith in Jesus is a tragedy. What makes something a tragedy? The value that was lost. The value of life in Christ, we are chosen. We are his. We are called to be holy. We are sons. We're inheritors, co heirs. We are people with a testimony. We are people that can speak to God and he will speak back. Amen. Amen. That's the value of life with faith in Jesus. And all of that comes with the peace and the fulfillment and the joy the the stuff that we all need, the spiritual needs, the stuff we cry out for. All of that wrapped up with a bow tied to a cross. So that's the value of life with faith in Jesus.”
