#GodKeepsPromises
“Friends, what's the point here? The point is that God keeps his promises. God preserved the lineage of David. Why? Because they all were faithful and they were great men. No, not at all. But because God had a bigger, better plan for us friends, and that is to send his sign, the second person of the trinity, to step out of heaven, to come through a very human woman by the name of Mary as a virgin. To live a sinless life, to offer himself as the sacrifice for our sins so that you and I could be saved.”

#GodsRemnant
“as we've already talked about thoroughly before, this was for basically two reasons. it was both for God's judgment and discipline on them for their idolatry and wickedness. That was the immediate reason for that. But there was another reason, and that is it was also God's way of preserving a remnant of his people. God promised all along that he would preserve a remnant of his people, which he would use to eventually restore them to the land and revive his people to worshiping him. Friends, and here's why. Because he still had a purpose for them. Amen? still had the purpose that through them, he was going to bless all the nations of the earth. That through them, he was going to bring a messiah that would save the world.”

#TurnAndRepent
“God did. Over and over and Listen, if you've been here for the book of Jeremiah, did God warn them? God warned them, right? And here's the deal. We live in a day when eventually judgment will come. Listen, there's lots of wickedness in our world. We ourselves are sinners only saved by the grace of God. Amen? But judgment will come to our to to everyone. It will come. And God has warned us. God is warning the world. And people say, well, you know, no, it's been so long. You know, there's no God. It's really not and all this. And that's kind of the same thing that happened in that day. Jeremiah said, no. God says turn. God says repent. Because eventually, his judgment will fall.”

#PardonAndPromise
“So, when we come back to chapter 52 and we read this wild, interesting, little, what seems like tagged on story here at the end of chapter 52, and when God pardons, literally lifts up the head of king Jehoiachin in '52, it has absolutely nothing to do with the type of king that king Jehoiachin was, friends, but it has everything to do with God fulfilling his promises. It was God's way of saying to the Jews that were in exile, to the Jews who would later on read this, I got you. My will will be done.”

#TrustJesusToday
“Maybe God's been, maybe you are trying to decide if Jesus really was who he said he was. Do I, can I really trust him? Can I really believe him? Friends, what God says is true. Yes, you can trust him. Maybe, God's speaking to you about some things that you need to repent of. Maybe you need to turn away from some idols in your life. Maybe you need to turn away from some things that you're doing and turn to the lord Jesus Christ. Friends, I wanna ask you, would you do that today?”

#ListenToGodsWord
“is why we have the story that Jeremiah has shared with us. Friends, what god says, he does. Amen? We can trust him. Maybe you're here today and God's word has been warning you of some things. Maybe God's been speaking to you about some things that you've been doing or going on in your life. Maybe things that nobody else knows about, friends. And the question is, will you listen? Will you pay attention?”

#AcceptChristToday
“Maybe some of you are here and you've never trusted Christ as your savior. You say, pastor, I need to do that today. Would you say, lord Jesus, today I acknowledge that I am a sinner, that I need you as my savior. Lord, I can't do it on my own, but Jesus I believe you died for me and rose again. And I wanna trust you for my salvation and with my life.”

#GratefulForGodsPlan
“Thank you that even though we as human beings do everything we can to mess stuff up, Lord, that you bring your wonderful plan along every step of the way. And even though we are are sinners, you are righteous. Thank you for preserving, the lineage through which you would send your son, Jesus. Lord, today, help us to trust you. Help us to trust you in everything we do.”
