#AtonementThroughBlood
“``Well, you ever wonder why is it the shedding of blood? Why does blood have to be shed? Well, one of the explanations is found in Leviticus chapter 17 when the Lord said through Moses, for the life of the flesh is in the blood and I have given it for you on the altar to make atonement for your your souls for it is the blood that makes atonement for the life. So the shedding of blood is the pouring out of life. The life of the flesh is in the blood. And so as the blood is shed, it's showing life is given, innocent life is given for guilty lives.”

#FaithBeyondPast
“Why, you know, it's amazing to me that God would choose a man like that to have faith and act on the basis of his faith in God. So this was a lesson to me that our past has nothing to do with believing God today. I don't know what your past is. You may have had a very difficult past, a harsh past. I don't know what kind of family you grew up in, but it doesn't matter. We can still have faith in God today. He had a difficult past, but that did not prevent him from placing his faith in the living God, the God of Israel.”

#FaithInTheLivingGod
“So this man was a man of faith. So what's the what is the takeaway from this case study of of Jephthah? It's that faith is in the living and true God as we meet him in the bible. It's not as we meet him in our imagination in popular religion or other things like that, but it's the God who is the God of the Bible. That's our God, our savior, the Lord Jesus, according to the scriptures. Faith is in the living God, the God of the Bible.”

#BelieveInHimEternalLife
“This kind of faith that the writer of Hebrews is talking about is a faith that takes God at his word. It's a faith in an object and the object is a person. You know John three sixteen probably, a lot of you, for God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes, what's the next two words, in That's the object of faith. Whoever believes in him has eternal life. Isn't that wonderful that you sit here, if you know the Lord, you sit here and you have eternal life. You are never going to ultimately perish. Your body will one day wear out. You'll lay it aside, but you will keep on going and you'll be with the Lord with eternal life, the life of God in us.”
