#LiveInHisApproval
“``But this should have been a reminder to all of us strivers in life. We got these strivers in the house working for God's approval. Let me just give you a news flash. You will never measure up. You will never measure up. You can't do enough. And Jesus doesn't expect us. Remember, Christ died and forgave us before we ever gave, before we ever served, before we ever said, I love you. He did it. He forgave us. We we don't work for his approval. We live in his approval. And then from there, we do things like serve and love and give and do all those kind of things, but we're not working for his approval.”

#ProofInJames
“You want proof that Jesus rose from the dead? Just ask yourselves, what would it take for you to believe that your brother literally was from God in heaven and you begin worshiping him? He died and resurrected. we know this is the case, not just from the Bible, because we have external writings talking about James as a prominent leader in the church. So we know that he was a follower of Christ. That is proof, man. I mean, just incredible proof right there. So now this is not where the story ends. James goes on to becoming one of the most important men in the early church. And as I've gotten into this, I begin to realize, man, he was very important. That's why Jesus met with him specifically.”

#ResurrectionIsEverything
“The resurrection is the most important event in all of human history. It changed everything. It changed not just this world, it changes the world to come. The resurrection is the most important thing, the most important event. I mean, I just we can't get we can't get comprehended enough to understand how important this moment in time was. If Jesus died a good man with great sayings, the world would say, well, he was a good man, but god, no way. Jesus predicted his death and his resurrection and pulled it off in the exact way and exact timing that he claimed. Man, that sounds he's, like, worthy of our praise as our savior.”

#ChangedByTheHolySpirit
“This is why when people get saved, always fascinating to me to watch somebody who gives their life to Christ. Nobody is saying anything to them other than, hey. Come on. Let's follow Jesus together. Let's worship together. And they'll come to me and say, you know, I really feel like I should stop cussing. I don't I just don't feel good about that anymore. Who told you? I don't know. I just don't feel that. Well, who's that inside them? The Holy Spirit. Say, man, I've been sleeping with my girlfriend. I can't do that anymore. I need to break up actually because she's not a follower. Who's telling them? Holy Spirit.”

#ServantOfChrist
“James died a martyr for his brother Jesus, who he came to know as Christ and Lord and savior. You know, James could have started his letter lots of different ways, couldn't he be? I mean, he could have started his letter letter James, the brother of Jesus. That's kind of a big title right there. James, the pastor of the Jerusalem church. James, apostle. You know, there were 12 apostles, but there were a lot of other people. Barnabas was considered apostle. James is considered an apostle. There were many other apostles besides the 12. The 12 had a unique role. He could have started his his James the apostle. No. He doesn't do any of that. He starts out, James, a servant of Christ, which means slave. I'm nothing but a servant of Christ. That's my identity. Such humility.”

#SalvationByFaith
“We don't have to live being strict adherence to the six thirteen laws of the Old Testament, all because James stood up and said, hey. Let's not burden these these people with this. Let's let's not do that. Salvation is faith by Jesus alone. It it's out of our heart flows the laws written on our heart, and half the 613 laws weren't even in the Bible. It was man made laws like can't tie your shoe on the Sabbath day. Come on. But God wrote those laws on our heart.”

#ChurchIsCommunity
“We took we took some time off right there in the summer, and it's like, man, when I get back, the first Sunday back, I just begin I was just weeping in worship because I just I just needed it so bad. I needed to worship with other believers. I needed to experience that. Church is not a place you go to. Church is a community that you belong to. And if it you allow it, it can be the lifeline of joy and peace in your life and fulfillment you've never experienced. I promise you.”

#JesusKnowsLoss
“I was just thinking about this. Isn't it interesting that Jesus knows what it's like to lose a parent? He knows what it's like to lose a parent. So for those that have you lost a parent, he knows what it's like. He knows the pain. We don't even see that part of his life, but can you imagine? Like, that was just like, gosh. But God orchestrated some of these things for Jesus to feel. He he knew. He bore our griefs. He understood. He was acquainted with what we felt.”
