#ForgivenByGrace
“``Like seeing the face of God because he saw in that face forgiving love That though Jacob probably doesn't deserve it, has found forgiveness from his brother. New beginning. Even a blessing. I'm gonna protect you and all your family as we come and take you to your home he says. Because that's the power of love. The blessing that comes to Jacob. He's been trying to steal it and earn it and grab it but it finally just comes as a gift from God and brother Esau. Because that's what grace is. When we receive it, when we share it, it's the greatest gift there is. Thanks be to God for a gift like that.”

Like seeing the face of God because he saw in that face forgiving love That though Jacob probably doesn't deserve it, has found forgiveness from his brother. New beginning. Even a blessing. I'm gonna protect you and all your family as we come and take you to your home he says. Because that's the power of love. The blessing that comes to Jacob. “And then the only two standing there are Esau and Jacob. We kind of think Esau is like a buffoon, don't we? Big old hairy buffoon guy. And he runs forward it says in the story. Runs toward Jacob. He throws his spear as far away as he can and he he wraps him in this giant bear hug. Jacob says, when he let him go, to see your face he said is like seeing the face of God. Like seeing the face of God because he saw in that face forgiving love That though Jacob probably doesn't deserve it, has found forgiveness from his brother. New beginning. Even a blessing.”
