"Proverbs 2 encourages us to accept God's words, store His commands, and actively seek wisdom as one would search for silver or hidden treasures. This pursuit requires a deliberate effort to incline our ears to wisdom, cry out for understanding, and diligently search for it. The passage assures us that when we seek wisdom with such fervor, we will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God." [22:56]

"We all live from the overflow of whatever fills our hearts, and today many things of this world seek to fill our minds with frustration. I'm thinking about fear and anger, confusion and other negative feelings that primarily get spoken into us through news sources and social media, maybe some of the people that we hang out with. And so we get filled with these feelings and issues our hearts overflow with whatever it is that we store up." [22:56]

"See, the truth is we spend time and energy on what matters most in our lives. But I couldn't help it when I was coming across this idea of the, the, the treasure hunting, the seeking, the, the digging for deeper truths. And I was thinking about one of our own guys in our, in our church, my brother, Ryan. And cause he had just text last night and said, you know what? He goes, I don't think that I'm going to going to continue on in the Bible in a year." [31:25]

"Note what we are to do with God's word. We are to receive it, hide it in the heart, incline the heart toward it, apply it to our lives, cry out to God for wisdom, and search the word to find God's will. He says Solomon is not talking about simply reading a chapter a day and letting it go at that. He insists that we live in the word of God and allow the word to live in us." [32:40]

"Consistent time in the word helps shape our thought patterns. It helps change our hearts and our minds to reflect more like Christ. And then I like that Psalm, Psalm one, two, because it speaks of meditating on the word day and night. Many of us are, we're either reading our word during the day or in the morning or reading it at night. Right? I'm a morning person myself, but the idea is to be in the word so much that it permeates through our mind all day long." [40:58]

"Ask God to illuminate scripture and to help you apply it. It's amazing how sometimes you can have read something 10 times and then all of a sudden out of the blue, it just makes sense finally, right? I'm sure many of you have, have understood that or have, have experienced that, excuse me. And then of course, I wouldn't be good if I'm not on here and telling you that you need others." [42:40]

"How does understanding what is right and just become a safeguard against evil or poor decisions? What warning signs? Does God provide to show we might be drifting from his wisdom? What warning signs does God provide to show we might be drifting from his wisdom? That dig deeper, to go beyond just the surface of listening, hearing, and actively and attentively a little more time so that we can gain the godly wisdom that he has for us." [01:43:24]

"Proverbs 2, verse 6 through 11 goes on, and it talks about God as the source of wisdom. It says, for the Lord gives wisdom from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Again, this isn't outside of scripture. Yes, he can speak to us in prayer, and he can actually speak into our mind sometimes, but we need to be in his word, right? Right, that's where the Lord really is as far as his mouth speaking to us." [38:10]

"God is the insurer of safety. The source of salvation for those who seek to act and live righteously. In fact, as we just finished reading about Abraham a few weeks ago, or last week, excuse me. God assures. God assures Abraham, just before giving him the Abrahamic covenant, I am your shield. He says, Fear not, Abram. I am your shield, and your reward will be very great." [01:18:36]

"Then you will understand righteousness justice and integrity every good path for wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will delight you discretion will watch over you and understanding will guard you you again the idea here is that we grow in discernment because we learn and we we understand now through being in his word and being connected with him righteousness justice equity in the world and and we will then be given or have the knowledge of wisdom to exercise discernment discretion." [01:22:21]

"Follow the way of the good And keep to the paths of the righteous Don't turn to your right or to your left, right For the upright will inhabit the land And those of integrity will remain in it But the wicked will be cut off from the land And the treacherous ripped out of it And the wicked will be cut off from the land This is the day Yes, I was involved with a woman That was foolish and fell into this trap Since I did not seek his wisdom And the consequences can be dire." [01:25:32]

"Now, if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God who gives to all generously and ungrudgingly, and it will be given to you. I had to go down that in there, too. But that God's not just going to all of a sudden illuminate, Oh, here's wisdom. But it's understanding that he will eventually make his way known to us, make his way clear to us whenever we are seeking his understanding or seeking wisdom from him." [01:28:33]
