We all desire to have a good godly friend, but often we are unwilling to be one. As I have been preparing this message, when that thought came to mind, it was convicting and challenging and hard, but necessary. And I think if we're really desired to be a good godly friend, we have to begin with being honest and surveying where we really are. Iron is particularly effective at sharpening more iron. And iron is able to sharpen the iron into what it is needed to be. It requires friction, it requires heat, it requires honesty, but those are the tools in which is used in order for iron to be exactly what it needs to be. And the same is truth for us.
