"Today I want to talk to you about creating a rhythm or culture of prayer in your life. We've entitled this series Lead with Prayer because we want you to lead in prayer in all areas of your life—in church, which is not a given by the way, to lead in prayer in your home with your roommates, with your spouse, with your kids, to lead with prayer in your workplace as you begin your day, as you make decisions in meetings, as you make decisions as you make decisions in meetings where appropriate to pray at the beginning and end of your day." [00:00:31] (33 seconds)

"But you'll see prayer happening in all areas of the church, in the hallways on Sundays, or in group life, on ministry teams, at events and gatherings, hearings, in prayer pods, in prayer calls, or like our worship and prayer night that we just had on Friday night. For yourself, maybe you pray before meals, or you pray before bed, or you pray when you come to church on Sunday, or when you're watching here online, and that's not bad. But if you're honest with yourself, would you say that you have developed a culture of prayer in your life?" [00:05:14] (38 seconds)

"The third thing, practical step to building a culture of prayer is to gather with others to pray. You need to hear other people pray with and for you. Sometimes you just don't have the words. Oftentimes prayer pods pop up in our church alongside or within life groups where three or four people just commit to praying for each other each week. It might be a call each week. It might be a text chain. These are great prompts to pray." [00:15:16] (25 seconds)

"Make prayer a line item in your budget because your time is so connected to your money. They're always so related because to pray, you have to give up your desire to make more money. So I have to be reminded that he is my provider. He's my daily bread. This is really apparent when planning like a prayer getaway or a retreat. It takes resources. It takes time and money, and your time is worth money." [00:16:09] (34 seconds)
