God’s blessings are not based on our status, performance, or birth order, but are given according to His divine purpose and grace. Just as Jacob intentionally crossed his hands to bless the younger Ephraim over the older Manasseh, God often chooses to bless us in ways that defy human expectations. You may feel unqualified, overlooked, or like you don’t have the right background, but God’s favor is not something you can work for or negotiate; it is a gift to be received. Let go of striving and receive the generational blessings God desires to pour into your life, trusting that His plans for you are greater than anything you could achieve on your own. [56:11]
Genesis 48:8-20 (ESV)
When Israel saw Joseph’s sons, he said, “Who are these?” Joseph said to his father, “They are my sons, whom God has given me here.” And he said, “Bring them to me, please, that I may bless them.” Now the eyes of Israel were dim with age, so that he could not see. So Joseph brought them near him, and he kissed them and embraced them. And Israel said to Joseph, “I never expected to see your face; and behold, God has let me see your offspring also.” Then Joseph removed them from his knees, and he bowed himself with his face to the earth. And Joseph took them both, Ephraim in his right hand toward Israel’s left hand, and Manasseh in his left hand toward Israel’s right hand, and brought them near him. And Israel stretched out his right hand and laid it on the head of Ephraim, who was the younger, and his left hand on the head of Manasseh, crossing his hands (for Manasseh was the firstborn). And he blessed Joseph and said,
“The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked,
the God who has been my shepherd all my life long to this day,
the angel who has redeemed me from all evil, bless the boys;
and in them let my name be carried on, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac;
and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.”
When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father’s hand to move it from Ephraim’s head to Manasseh’s head. And Joseph said to his father, “Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head.” But his father refused and said, “I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations.” So he blessed them that day, saying,
“By you Israel will pronounce blessings, saying,
‘God make you as Ephraim and as Manasseh.’”
Thus he put Ephraim before Manasseh.
Reflection: Where in your life have you been striving to earn God’s favor or blessing, and how can you intentionally shift to a posture of simply receiving what He wants to give you today?
A strong spiritual foundation is essential for breakthrough, and the Bible teaches that the laying on of hands is a vital part of that foundation. This act is not just a ritual, but a means by which God imparts blessing, healing, empowerment, and calling to His people. When we skip or resist this part of our faith, we may find ourselves paying more—emotionally, spiritually, or even physically—for things God has already made available to us through Christ. Don’t let hesitation or past hurts keep you from receiving the impartation God wants to release in your life; step into the fullness of what He has for you and experience supernatural acceleration into your destiny. [58:08]
Hebrews 6:1-2 (ESV)
Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
Reflection: Is there a spiritual practice or truth—like the laying on of hands—that you have hesitated to embrace? What would it look like to open your heart to God’s impartation for breakthrough this week?
Healing is not something you have to earn or work up; it is part of your inheritance as a child of God. Jesus paid the full price for your healing—body, soul, and spirit—on the cross, and He invites you to receive it by faith. The Bible says that believers will lay hands on the sick and they will recover, not because of their own power, but because Jesus, the Healer, is present. Whether you need healing yourself or are called to pray for others, remember that God’s power is available and active today. Don’t let doubt or fear keep you from stepping out in faith and experiencing the wholeness Jesus has already purchased for you. [01:20:20]
Mark 16:17-18 (ESV)
And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.
Reflection: Who is one person you can pray for today—either in person or from a distance—asking God to bring healing, and how can you trust Him for the results?
God desires not only to save you, but to fill you with His Holy Spirit, empowering you to live beyond your own strength. The laying on of hands is a biblical way God uses to release the power and gifts of the Holy Spirit in your life, equipping you for your calling and giving you boldness, love, and a sound mind. You don’t have to do life on your own or rely on your own willpower; the Holy Spirit is available to fill you afresh, break off fear, and enable you to walk in victory. Open your heart to receive all that God has for you, and let Him fill every area of your life with His presence and power. [01:30:39]
Acts 19:1-6 (ESV)
And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples. And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying.
Reflection: In what area of your life do you most need the Holy Spirit’s power and presence today, and how can you invite Him to fill you afresh right now?
Breakthrough is often hindered not by God’s unwillingness, but by our own unforgiveness or resistance to spiritual authority. God calls us to forgive those who have hurt us—even those in authority—and to submit ourselves under His leadership, trusting that He will work all things together for our good. When we let go of bitterness and choose to root ourselves where God has planted us, we open the door for healing, restoration, and the release of our calling. Don’t let past wounds or disappointments keep you from the fullness of what God wants to do in your life; choose forgiveness and submission, and watch as God accelerates you into your destiny. [01:45:17]
Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV)
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
Reflection: Is there someone—perhaps a leader or authority figure—you need to forgive today? What step can you take to release them to God and submit your heart afresh to His authority?
Today, we gathered with a sense of anticipation, knowing that whenever we come into the presence of the Lord, He desires to move among us in powerful ways. We celebrated the goodness of God, not just in our own lives, but in the lives of those in our community—whether it’s through outreach in places like Santa Rita Jail, or by serving thousands through our upcoming harvest and Thanksgiving events. This is a season of harvest, and God is calling us to be a people who love unconditionally, equip one another, and walk in the supernatural, Spirit-filled life He’s made available.
We explored the foundational doctrines of our faith, as outlined in Hebrews 6: repentance, faith, baptism, the laying on of hands, resurrection, and eternal judgment. These are not just theological ideas, but the bedrock upon which our lives are built. If our foundation is shaky, everything we build will be unstable. Too often, we try to pay “full price” for things God has already provided—peace, joy, breakthrough—because we’re not walking in the fullness of what He’s given us. The laying on of hands is one of those gifts, a means by which God imparts blessing, healing, and empowerment, not because of our merit, but because of His grace.
Looking at Genesis 48, we saw how Jacob (Israel) intentionally crossed his hands to bless the younger grandson, Ephraim, over the older, Manasseh. This act was prophetic, showing that God’s blessings are not distributed according to human expectations, status, or birth order, but according to His divine purpose. God delights in reversing the expected order, pouring out favor and destiny on those who may feel disqualified or overlooked. The generational blessing Jacob released was not something his grandsons earned; it was an impartation of everything God had done in his life, transferred to the next generation.
We also recognized that while the world talks much about generational curses, God’s heart is to release generational blessings—favor, healing, and breakthrough that accelerate us beyond what we could achieve on our own. The laying on of hands is a biblical means for healing, for being filled with the Holy Spirit, and for being sent into our God-given calling. It’s not about striving or earning, but about receiving by faith what Jesus has already paid for. Today, the invitation is to step out of striving, surrender to the Holy Spirit, and receive the impartation for breakthrough—so that we, and the generations after us, can walk in the fullness of God’s promises.

All of us, whether you believe in God or not, whether you've ever been to church or not, all of us will stand before God and we will have to speak to whether we know Jesus or not. Did you know him relationally? Not know about him. Did you have an intimate relationship with Jesus? And that is our salvation. If the answer is yes, you're saved. Blessing and healing come when we let our new nature lead our old nature. And God wants to impart breakthrough to you tonight, but you got to get this today, that I am going to be led by the new creation, not by the part, the other part. It is being sanctified. It's trying to catch up, because that new part of me is in heavenly places. It's already seated by the Father. That's who I am, chosen royal priesthood. My flesh don't know it yet, but it does not have control over me. The newest part is my dominant part. But you need the Holy Spirit to do that. You need to receive what God has for you. He did that to break the curse of sin and sickness off your life and to bring the blessing of God into your life, and that's amazing because in the same verse, he says that he forgives your sin, and in that same verse, he says he heals your body. See, everyone in this room, I believe, believes that Jesus can forgive sin, but many of us in this day and age, because of all our pill-popping and homeopathic medicines and acupuncture and keto diets and carb diets and vegan diets and YouTube influencers, we don't believe in God. We believe in him, only when we live our lives quickly and boldly, and that we believe in that side of us that he's going to care for us. [01:25:41] (51 seconds) #JesusHealsAndForgives
You don't have to manipulate your way to a title. You don't have to fight for a seat at the table. When God is ready to elevate you, the anointing will find you, because the Bible says that the gifts make room for you. Amen. And culturally, Ephraim was born into the wrong position. Manasseh the oldest was born into the right one. But through the laying on of hands, Jacob, known as Israel, takes the person out of position and gives them authority of position. Where you're standing does not matter. The fact that you, where you are, are submitted to where God has placed you. The fact that you're serving where God has placed you. The fact that you're doing now what God has called you to do now. Not waiting for tomorrow's anointing. Living in today's anointing. God says you don't have to chase anointing. God is saying the anointing will chase you. It will find you. You don't have to find it. God is the one who elevates. He's the one who promotes. And he's the one that places the mantle on people. [01:41:16] (73 seconds) #AnointingFindsYou
It's not about you getting more of the Holy Spirit. It's about Him getting more of you. It's about you surrendering to the influence of the Holy Spirit who's speaking to you right now. Within you, and what's going on is you're battling. The flesh is battling with the new creation, saying, yeah, there's more. There's more. We're ready to pray for you. We're ready to agree. We're ready to believe. Breakthrough is here in your life. [01:49:15] (31 seconds) #MoreOfHimLessOfMe
