The Great Commission in Mark 16 puts the call plainly: Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.” The command does not belong to a special minority category of believers, and Matthew 28 makes that clear because the eleven disciples never reached all nations and never lived to the end of the age. Jesus was speaking through them to every follower of Jesus. The question is not if a believer goes into all the world, but how.

Jesus calls young and old, educated and not so educated, eloquent and not so eloquent, every color, every background, every language, every follower. The call may take someone across the ocean, or it may take someone across the street, but it is still the call of Jesus. The couple sent from the church to a Middle Eastern nation becomes a living picture of that obedience, like a rocket breaking through gravitational pull to get where God sent them. Their faithfulness in a place where the gospel cannot be openly shared shows that many days of mission are not glamorous, but steady, costly, faithful work.

God’s heart for the world stands behind the command. John 3:16 says God so loved the world, not just a few, and 2 Peter 3:9 says the Lord is not willing that any should perish. The doctrine of election is true, but it cannot be used to erase the rest of the Bible or silence the command to preach to every creature. Jesus is the only way to the Father, and that truth is not narrow cruelty, it is mercy because God made a way at great cost.

The urgency is eternal. Hebrews says people die once and after that comes judgment, and Revelation warns about the lake of fire. Jesus came so people could be moved from everlasting punishment into eternal life. Romans 10 gives the simple solution: whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved, but they cannot call unless they hear, and they cannot hear unless someone is sent.

The Holy Spirit answers every fear and excuse. Acts 1:8 says power comes when the Holy Spirit comes upon believers, and that power makes witnesses. The call now is to wake up, pray earnestly, prepare seriously, deny self, take up the cross, and follow Jesus wholeheartedly. No excuses. Life belongs to Jesus.
