#SeekEternalLifeNow
“So God is saying he allows us sometimes to experience the consequences, the pain, the emotional pain. The tormenting memory can be a catalyst used by God to cause us in the future to turn away from sin. And when it says seek eternal life, it doesn't mean just make trying to get to heaven. Eternal life is not just quantitative or chronological, it is qualitative. First John says that we see in Jesus the eternal life in physical form. It is the life of God that can exist for forever. So it's saying it's I'm gonna see that sin is always something that's going to hurt me, hurt others, but I'm gonna seek now the life of God in my soul. I'm gonna seek to live like Jesus lives and love like Jesus loves because I'm convinced there's no other way that life really works and that's the key to the best life possible. It is a internal personal conviction. It is way different than just trying to escape some consequences and some pain.”

#RegretToHope
“``Hidden within the hurt of regrets is the hope of a God intended future. God wants our future to be good. He wants it to be peace filled. He wants it to be righteousness filled, but it's contingent upon this. We cannot change what what is the word? I can't go back in time and change what was, neither can you. But through the Lord, we can change what does it say? What will be. I, we, us, we don't have to keep on learning everything the hard way.”

#SpiritualSurgery
“We must learn and this is the hard part. We must learn to process the pain with the lord. This is critical. This is why I don't I don't want a whole bunch of pop psychology books because they put a band aid on gaping wounds and they they give painkillers to individuals that need spiritual surgery. We must learn to process the pain with the lord. Why? Because we have to you tell me. Feel it heal Until I feel the full gravity of my sin. Until I feel the painful results maybe to me and I've had to live to see the pain I brought to somebody else, and that's hard, man. Until I see that, I'm probably gonna be deprived of the energy that I need to move away from sin”

#CharacterOverThings
“This inner satisfaction, this peace is the result of becoming someone, not having some things. Our world teaches us you've got to have some things. It's usually the five p's. You know? You gotta have, you know, power, possessions, pleasures, popularity, prestige. If you have the right things, you're gonna be happy, happy, happy, happy. Well, we see the world full of people that have all the five p's and they're not happy, happy, happy. Jesus is saying, when I become someone that lives like God lives and love like God loves, when I keep his commands, they have a transforming effect. Well, then I have joy that is complete. So my future, regardless of my circumstances and trust me, this is true, it's gonna be good.”

#ForgivenNotBranded
“Even though God forgives and he says, hey, I'm not gonna bring this up anymore. It's done. You're my kid. I love you. We're we're gonna move forward. We're not gonna go back. But there are memory experts, human memory experts. Right? And as memory experts, you may have some in your life and they will brand you, they will brand me, they will brand us, and they never forget. And some of them feel that it's their god appointed duty to remind us for the rest of our lives of something that god himself said, I forgive you, and I'm not gonna remember this anymore.”

#CommandsForBlessing
“Why does he want us to obey him? Is he just a bully? Does he just get off on, you know, seeing everybody jumping when he says jump? So that it would, you tell me. So that it is God saying, I'm a parent. I love you. I I I know what's best. I want what's best. And I can promise you it's gonna go well with you if you keep all my commands. They are the path to the best life possible that we all want. So that's why I said earlier, you can go out of here with the certainty. Your future, our future, my future, we can choose today. It's gonna go well, and it's gonna be full of peace, and it's gonna be full of righteousness.”

#PressOnToCharacter
“Now forgetting the past doesn't mean that I don't learn the lesson from it. I must learn the lesson to have the energy and the benefit of moving forward the way God intends. But I'm not gonna let this thing handcuff me, imprison me, torment me, hold me back from what God wants for my life any longer. Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to receive the heavenly prize. The heavenly prize is this perfection of character, Christ like character. It is not going to heaven. It is having the life of heaven within us on this earth.”

#PainPurifies
“We we've got to we've got to walk toward the pain. I don't wanna look at my bad motives. I don't even wanna relive the pain of my rebellious deeds, much less the motives. And then the third level, look at the damage. God will bring this light to you. He'll show you. He'll show me. He'll show us the damage we did to others that we didn't even think about. And that's a whole different level of pain. But I'm telling you that pain purifies. That pain incentivizes us, immunizes us from future disregard, distrust, and disobedience, and those things always go together.”
