#HeartPosturePrayer
“``Because as we get into our text for today, I want you to keep this truth in mind as an undercurrent of everything that we talk about, but the power of prayer isn't in the formula of our words, it's in the posture of our hearts. The the power of your prayer is not in accumulating the right words, stringing together the right words and throwing in some these and dows and having the proper language for prayer hoping that it leads to God answering that prayer. It's not about the words that you use, it's about the posture and the position of your heart as you approach the Lord in that space of prayer.”

#PrayExpectingGod
“Each of us in here individually have that expectation in our hearts that if, then. And every circumstance that you're walking through, go through it with an expectation in your heart. If I pray, God's gonna show up. That's what expectation looks like. Not I hope and I wonder, no. If I take this to God, he's gonna do something about it. That's why it's my first reflex. God, I don't know what's gonna happen with this doctor's report. God, I don't know what's gonna happen with this relationship, but I know if I give it to you, I know that you're gonna bring the clarity. I know that if I give it to you, you're gonna bring the power. That's what expectation looks like.”

#DeliberatePrayer
“So if prayer is an if then clause and if you're assessing your life and you look around, you're like, I don't see the presence of the power of God in my life. Then my next question to you would be, have you invited him in? Specifically, have you invited him in through prayer? If you pray, then he shows up. So one of the traits for powerful prayer is deliberate intentionality. You've got to make this choice. Just like any other discipline that you have in your life, You have to make a choice, you have to put a plan in place, you have to get accountability, but it is only within your control. No one else can make you pray.”

#ExpectHisPresence
“My goal is not to build a church that is reliant on the quality of a worship team, the quality of preaching, the quality of facilities, the quality of our team, but to build a church that is full of people that are expecting for the presence and the power of God. When this room is full of people and every single one of us in here are approaching these gatherings with the deep expectation in our heart of Lord, I am seeking your face. Pastor Chris could stink up the joint, I'm still gonna get something because I'm seeking your face, not his voice. That's when we're gonna see the power of God move in this place in such a real and undeniable intangible way that we won't be able to contain it.”
