#HopeInGodNotAgenda
“``But never ever confuse hope in God with hope in your agenda for God. There are many people who have walked away from faith because God did not answer their prayer the way that they wanted him to or when they wanted him to. And even these people who got to see the miracle, who experienced the intervention, their hope was still actually not in this life.”

#ResurrectionIsProof
“Don't give up on your faith in Jesus. Hold on. The resurrection of Jesus is proof that God keeps his promises, and a day is coming just as surely as the resurrection happened. A day is coming when Jesus will return, and when there will be no more fear, and death, and sin, and sadness, and shame. It will all come under his lordship and control. That day is coming, and the resurrection is proof of it.”

#FaithBeyondCircumstances
“In the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in Daniel chapter three, these three Jewish men living in exile in Babylon faced with a really difficult decision to either bow down and worship pagan gods or face death in a fiery furnace. And their response to the king when he challenged them with this reality was, our God will deliver us from the fiery furnace, but even if he doesn't, we will not bow down. This is faith that is bigger than circumstances. It is beyond circumstances. Their faith was in the promise maker, in the miracle maker, not just in the miracle itself.”

#UnshakableFutureHope
“There is actually nothing that can happen in this life that could steal our hope and cause us to despair. Regardless of the circumstances that we might come across on this side of heaven, we know that the day is coming when Jesus is gonna come back. Right? Both of these groups of people, both the ones that experienced the intervention and the ones that didn't, both of them had a future hope, a hope for what was to come.”

#FaithWithEyesOpen
“You see, without the eyes of faith, the actions of all three of these people seem foolish. Noah built an ark before there was a raindrop in sight. Abraham left the safety and security of home for an unknown destination. And Sarah, even though all the odds were stacked against her, believed that she would bear the child of the promise. And it wasn't blind faith. Our faith is not blind faith. It is measured and reasonable because we know the one who promised. So that Sarah considered the one who made the promise and then chose to believe, to act in accordance with the way that God had opened her eyes to see.”

#KingdomValuesOverWorld
“You see, the kingdom of God and the kingdom of this world, they operate on different principles. In the kingdom of the world, economics don't work like they do in the kingdom of heaven. In the kingdom of the world, success means that you have to watch out for yourself, watch out for number one. You've got to accumulate as much power and wealth and success and prestige as you possibly can. You have to protect yourself at all costs. But in the kingdom of heaven, things don't work like that. In the kingdom of heaven, the first will be last. In the kingdom of heaven, it's better to give than to get. And in the kingdom of heaven, the way that you actually find your life is by laying it down for the sake of others.”

#YesAndAmenInJesus
“And we're told in the scriptures that all of God's promises are yes and amen in Jesus. We have the benefit of standing on the other side of the resurrection. The ancients in chapter 11, they were looking toward the day that the messiah would break in to this world. We get to look back on the incarnation, on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. Remember, faith is the reality of what is hoped for and the proof of what is not seen, and Jesus is that proof. We can be confident that God fulfills his promises because of Jesus. He will fulfill his promises, and we can put our hope firmly in him.”

#FaithInEverydayChoices
“When you examine your life today, and when I examine my life, is there evidence of this kind of faith? When you consider the way that you make your business decisions, the way you carry yourself at work, the way you parent your kids, the way you spend your time, and the way you spend your money. Does it look different than the person next to you who doesn't know Jesus? Is there evidence of this kind of faith in your life? And if not, no shame here in this room. God our God is not a God of shame, but he is a God of invitation. And the invitation is to step into real life, abundant life, the kind of life we experience in the kingdom when we live not by the principles of this world, but we live through faith by the principles of the kingdom of God.”
