"fool the fool have said in his heart there is no God you remember our Lord's parable about the rich fool the man who was congratulating himself he done so well he done so well that his BS had become too small he's got to pull them down and build greater and he congratulates himself and says so there was much Goods laid up for many years take an ease eat drink and be married but God said unto him thou this night thy Soul shall be required of thee then whose shall these things be which thou H has collected the fo and this is I say the Communist church that is brought against men in sin men in Rebellion against God in the Bible he's a fool" [00:22:07]

"how does he Folly show itself well the chief way and the greatest way in which it shows itself is this that Men shows his folly in fooling himself in self deception this is the most tragic thing of all it's bad enough when a man fools others but it is rarely tragic when he fools himself and that is what mankind has been doing I say from the very beginning since it first rebelled and turned against God the original sin was the greatest act of folly that's ever been committed listening to the suggestion of the devil against God believing that lie it was Madness that's fly very well now then I want to show you the essence of this self-deception" [00:23:00]

"Moses was with them and had led them out but now he's gone up onto the mount to receive the law from God and he says to whom your fathers would not obey but trust him from them and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt saying unto Moses make us Gods to go before us and they made a cough in those days and offered sacrifice unto the idol and rejoiced in the works of their own hand now let me show it you here is a perfect picture of this incredible Folly of the human race never has it been more manifest than at this present moment make us they worship The Works of their own hands" [00:23:55]

"professing themselves to be warries they became fools if that isn't the most perfect description that you've ever heard of men in this 20th century well then you know very little about life here it is professing themselves to be wise they became fools profess essing themselves to be to be professing themselves to be wise in what in what sense well in this sense man's conf self-confidence is endless there's nothing that men can't do after all men have split the atom he's beaten the law of gravity he sends the men up into outer space is there anything that can stand before men of course there isn't man's the center of the universe the greatest thing in the universe is the brain of man" [00:25:01]

"he can do anything what can he do what does he claim he can do well the first claim that he makes is this he can make God men can make God they turned to Aaron and said make us Gods to go before us they made a cough in those days and offered sacrifice unto the idol and rejoiced in the works of their on him there's nothing new you see about Modern Men his forefathers did exactly the same thing men believed in those days that he could make God he can make a God he wants a God so he proceeds to make him he's got the capacity he's quite sure of this he's quite confident of it" [00:26:06]

"so they in this extraordinary way and manner they made a God out of gold and then proceeded to worship now they had no hesitation of course in doing this at all man has never had any hesitation about making gods he's got many gods you can have pantheion and they Nam them Mercury Mars Jupiter and all the rest of them you see in alen times it was quite clear that men was very confident that he could make Gods he still does the same and this of course has been the most IM and prominent activity of mankind for the last 100 years or so what's been happening in the last 100 years well man in his cleverness has been constructing and making a new God" [00:26:57]

"it's called the higher criticism of the Bible it started in Germany as many other of these things started in Germany with a great belief in man great man this idea that to believe in God was an insult to man so you see it worked itself out in terms of the Bible and they came and they sat in judgment upon the Bible and they said of course there are some things which are right in the Bible but there's a great deal of nonsense and of rubbish in the Bible they said now if the Bible says this about God is wrong throw it out that's not true who decides what God is like man and that is what they've been doing for a century" [00:27:41]

"they've been constructing a god a new God there's no wrath in God there's no justice there's no righteousness God doesn't punish God Is Only La nothing else now they haven't hesitated to do this they have constructed a new father a new son a new Holy Ghost if they believe in the Holy Ghost at all but the thing is that they haven't hesitated to say that men can sit in judgment on this Revelation and that man is competent to Define and to describe and to delimit God and if God doesn't tell it with my ideas so much the worse for God it's men who desides not God" [00:28:25]

"man's self-confidence makes him say that he is capable of making and creating a god what else well of course it follows from the first he has also been very confident that he knows the truth about himself about men he doesn't like the biblical view of men that was the original Temptation wasn't it yay ha God said that you shouldn't do this it's not right it's not fair to men it's not just in other words they set up their opinion of men against God's opinion of men they rejected Gods accepted the Devils took it on and that is what you find so constantly in the pages of the Old Testament and in the new" [00:29:37]

"man believes that he knows himself that he understands himself and never has he been doing this again more assiduously than during this present Century he doesn't accept the biblical view of men he regards it as insulting what's his view of men well he's got many views some of them regard him as a purely economic unit that man is nothing but the result of the interplay of capital and labor dialectical materialism call it what you like others have got this biological view of men others have got the supposed scientific view of men others have got what they call a psychological view of men but you see in each case they think that they can Define men they understand men and they can tell you exactly what men is like" [00:30:27]

"they reject everything else this they say is men and this is how men is to live I'll tell you in a moment how he does live but they claim the competence to decide what man is and what man is meant to be like and that leads of course to the third thing which is bus this that they're quite confident that they know how life is to be lived in this world and how this world is to be run and how it is to be ordered that's what the children of Israel kept on doing they turned their backs on God they said no then we're going to do it that's how they first asked for a king you know they W never meant to have a king but they said other nations have got Kings why don't we have a king" [00:31:26]

"this isn't fair to us let's have a king they were God's people they were a theocracy no no they were not cont with that they wanted to be a kingdom like other kingdoms they always think they know better than God so they pleaded for a king and God said all right I'll give you a king but this is what will happen to you if you have one and it did happen to them but this is it that was their whole story and it is still the story man thinks he knows how to live how to run his world oh the confidence of mankind in philosophy and politics during the last 100 years people believed that by acts of parliament you could make a perfect world that you could banish War they rarely believed it they were not dishonest they believed it such was the Folly of this delusion of grander this megalomania man really believed that he could make the world Perfect by politics and education sociology philosophy science and all these things he believed he could make a perfect world he still believes it" [00:31:56]
