[45:54]Observation questions- What details in Revelation 19:11–16 describe Christ’s character, authority, and way of judging the nations? [31:50]
- In Revelation 20:11–15, what things flee from the throne, what books are opened, and what happens to those whose names are not found in the Book of Life? [36:49]
- What reasons for saying “Hallelujah” are repeated in Revelation 19:1–6? [41:25]
- According to Revelation 19:7–8 and Ephesians 2:10, what is the connection between the bride’s fine linen, good deeds, and God’s workmanship? [45:19]
Interpretation questions- How do the names Faithful and True, The Word of God, and King of kings and Lord of lords help explain why Christ’s judgment is righteous rather than cruel or unfair? [32:15]
- Revelation 20 says that people are judged according to their deeds, while the Book of Life is also opened. Why does the hope of “my good outweighing my bad” fail before a holy God? [39:42]
- Why is it important that Revelation 19:8 says the bride’s linen “was granted her,” even though the linen represents the righteous deeds of the saints? How does this protect believers from thinking they earn their salvation? [45:24]
- How does the picture of Christ as the Bridegroom and the church as His bride show the closeness and joy believers will have with Him forever? [44:20]
Application questions- The final question is not merely how the world ends, but who is king. In what areas of life is there a temptation to sit on the throne—money, relationships, plans, comfort, reputation, habits, or something else? What would submitting that area to Christ look like this week? [31:07]
- The great white throne leaves no place to hide, even for those who have built an impressive life. Is there anything currently being used to avoid dealing honestly with God—busyness, success, entertainment, excuses, or comparison with others? [38:33]
- The reality of final judgment should produce heartbreak for people apart from Christ, not pride or excitement over being right. Who is one person for whom the group can grow in compassion, prayer, and faithful gospel witness? [40:22]
- Heaven’s worship centers on God because salvation, glory, power, and true judgment belong to Him. Which of those truths most strengthens worship in the middle of a difficult or uncertain week? [41:28]
- Believers are God’s workmanship, created for good works that He has already prepared. What ordinary good work may God be placing in front of someone right now: serving a neighbor, forgiving someone, encouraging a discouraged person, giving generously, or speaking about Christ? [46:28]
- Christ gives His bride the linen before she wears it. Where is there a tendency to try to manufacture spiritual worth instead of receiving Christ’s grace and walking in the obedience He provides? [45:37]
- Faithfulness to Christ today matters forever. What is one specific area where greater faithfulness is needed this week, even if no one else notices it? [49:29]
