Moms, love your kids enough to obey God rather than your own heart. I know in your heart you want to do right by your kids. I know in your heart you want to help them and benefit them and give them fun times and enjoyment and love and care and all of those things. And I'm not saying you shouldn't give them those things. But what you also need to give them is God. [00:48:43] (25 seconds) Edit Clip

Because God's got bigger and better plans for your kids than you do. Listen to me. God's got bigger and better plans for your kids than you do. Trust him. It's so easy. Men, for us to want to be in control. It's so easy for us ladies, or for the ladies to want to try to intervene and try to do. And why there will be moments where you can exemplify Christ in front of your kids, and you should. That is not the same as taking control. [00:43:49] (45 seconds) Edit Clip

Do you trust God to give your children over to God? If you do, give them over to God. Stop clinging to them. Stop holding on to them. Stop trying to manipulate or change their perspective on something. No matter how hard you try, it just doesn't seem to work, right? And yet, when you pray for them silently, when you support them and encourage them, when you live Christ in front of them, all of a sudden something happens. [00:49:39] (29 seconds) Edit Clip

Let me ask you three simple questions. I'm going to conclude because I've gone off topic here. But that's okay. Do you believe that God is God? Everything that that entails. Do you believe that God keeps his promises? Do you believe that God is faithful? Then act like it. Obedience to God allows us to be in honor. [00:51:56] (32 seconds) Edit Clip

Remember what I said about thinking? Thinking gets you nothing. Thinking does nothing. Oh, I think I want to live for God more. I think I want to have greater faith. I hope I can figure out how to walk with God better. But none of those things matter until you act upon them. Remember we talked about faith. Now we're talking about obedience. Obedience requires action. [00:41:42] (20 seconds) Edit Clip

The Bible says that we gain greater faith by obedience. Even when that obedience is hard, even when that obedience is tough to see the other side. Remember what I said with the mirror? Mirror shows you what is, not what will be. God sees what is and what will be. [00:24:49] (27 seconds) Edit Clip

If you trust God and depend on God and want to walk with God and be considered a godly woman or mother, you have to trust him for everything. Rahab had no chance. Look, at the end of the day, Jericho fell. If the spies of Jericho had gone back to Joshua and said, yep, we're going to go into the land, we're going to conquer it, which we know the whole story there, and they went into the land and they tore down the wall, but they never once mentioned Rahab, her family would have died.
