55s
“``I'm not telling you that it's been twenty years because you're the problem, but but are you ready for the embrace? I can't fix your situation. You can't fix it. But I know who can. And he tells us that we have a role. Pray, seek, love, and leave the door open. Are you ready for the embrace? Because it's coming. Five years, ten years, twenty years down the road, your job is to be ready for the embrace. Maybe, just maybe, the waiting is preparation for the restoration.”
51s
“I want you to picture that son or that daughter who walked away, who said hateful things to you the last you heard from them. What would you do if they came back tomorrow? What about the spouse who chooses not to talk anymore or the parent who stopped calling you or the friend who ghosted you or the sibling who who won't even look at you in the eye since the funeral? You have no idea what God is doing in their life. You have no idea how God is preparing them to walk over that hill towards you. The question is, if they were to walk into your driveway today, would you run or would you run them over?”
60s
“Hear me when I say this, twenty years of silence is not too long for God to restore. Many of you have been waiting for God to restore relationship and you feel like it's been way too long. You feel like there's there's no way that God can can move. I'm here to tell you, it doesn't matter how long it has been, it's not too long for God to restore. All throughout the bible, God makes a promise to someone and it never works out on their time timeline. Just a few weeks ago, we talked about how God made a promise to Abraham and Sarah that she would have a child in her old age. It's ten years before he fulfills that promise. Nobody wants to wait ten years for God to move. In this situation, it takes twenty years for God to restore Esau and Jacob back to right relationship.”
73s
“You have to love and I wanna encourage you that the God who softened Esau's heart is still softening the hearts that you can't reach. In Acts chapter 16, we read of a story of how Paul is is going, he's preaching the gospel throughout the world and and he ends up in this place called Philippi and while he's in Philippi, he meets this lady named Lydia and he preaches the gospel to Lydia and the word tells us this, this is very important, this is this is key. The the word tells us that the spirit of God opened her heart towards the message that Paul was preaching. It doesn't say that Paul and the compelling message he gave opened her heart, no, the spirit of God opened her heart. You can't fix it, only God can. Paul, he knew his responsibility, preach the gospel, speak truth, not lies and as long as you continue to do that, God will do what he can do.”
