#HolySpiritWithUs
“``he is the one who opened our blinded eyes, changed our hearts, united us in Christ, adopted us in God's family, sealed us for eternity. He is the one who comforts us in sorrow, assures us in doubt, intercedes us in weakness, and strengthens us in temptation. The spirit is not merely with you, he is in you. The spirit is not merely helping you, he is transforming you. The spirit is not merely protecting you, he is keeping you for eternity. So believer, lift your head. You are never alone. Walk in strength, rest in his comfort, trust in his leading. Rejoice the holy spirit is faithfully carrying you all the way home.”

#ConvictedToRepent
“There is something off in the heart of a person who knows that they are not right with God. That's why you get nervous when you go to church. That's why you feel awkward when that happens. You know why you feel awkward? Because the Holy Spirit has convicted you of sin and righteousness and the judgment that you're going to face. That's why you should take warning and take heed. Today is the day of salvation and you should repent and believe. Don't waste another moment that God has given you breath and air and talent to use.”

#KnowTheHolySpirit
“The Holy Spirit is not just a force that attends you and assists you. But the Holy Spirit is a person in dwelling within us, working with us, shaping us, keeping us until the day that Christ returns and glorifies us. Sadly, many Christians live unaware of the spirit's daily ministry. We know the spirit exists because we've heard the pastor speak and we've read the bible. We know that the holy spirit exists. But do we know the holy spirit? Do we find in the holy spirit power and strength and comfort? Do we come to him for teaching? Do we come for him to him for correction? Do we follow our conscience that is prompted by the spirit to confess our sins and to make right apologies to others.”

#HolySpiritApplies
“There is no greater earthly gift that God has given to his children in this present age than the indwelling Holy Spirit. Before the foundation of the world, the father planned our salvation. In the fullness of time, the son purchased our salvation. And now, this very moment, the Holy Spirit applies, secures, empowers, and completes the salvation in us. God planned it. Jesus accomplished it. And g and the Holy Spirit applies it and maintains it. This is why we should take very seriously our theology of the Holy Spirit.”

#NewBirthNotNominal
“This is the difference between a nominal Christian and a born again Christian. A person who's a nominal Christian can say, I'm a Christian, just like you might say, I am an American. You may have heard me say that when I met Dina, the first question she asked me, are you a Christian? And I said, I'm an American. Of course, I am. That's what I thought. The difference between nominal Christianity and the new birth is whether the Holy Spirit has brought you to a humbling awareness of your sin and the ability for you to believe in Jesus Christ, change your mind about God, and turn to him away from your sinful, selfish desires.”

#SealedForeverInChrist
“This is why I have a great problem with some of our brothers and sisters who think that salvation can can be inherited and then lost and then gained back. I think this is incorrect doctrine. Because the Holy Spirit has sealed you. And can God fail at anything he starts to do? The Holy Spirit has sealed with the promised Holy Spirit. What is the Holy Spirit doing for the believer? He is the actual practical applying mechanism that God is sealing you until the last day.”

#HolySpiritIntercedes
“This is that time when you can't know how to pray. Oftentimes we know how to pray. Sometimes we know what to ask God for and sometimes we have challenges and we have petitions and we want to give prayers of praise to God. Sometimes you're hurting and you don't even know how to pray. When you don't know how to pray, what you can do is be alone with God and ask the Holy Spirit to intercede for you with prayers that you cannot vocalize or even intellectually understand. This is a promise by the Holy Spirit. What is the ministry of the Holy Spirit to you? It's a ministry to bring you to Christ. It's a ministry to help and comfort you in your weakness. Even those desperate weakness times when you're at the end of your rope.”

#SpiritComfortsUs
“What is the Holy Spirit doing to help us in our weakness? He is comforting. He indwells us. He's the best friend inside of you. How many times have you stood at a reception line at at at a wake or a funeral or a graveside? And the Christian person said, I don't know how I would have made it through this except God was with me. Always makes us wonder what people think and feel when they don't have God with them. The Holy Spirit is comforting us.”
