#LovedInDarkness
“``I was not handling life well, and I almost made a bad decision several times. And if I had made that decision, I would not be standing here in front of you guys today. I was a wreck. My mind was a mess. But through it all, I had this understanding that God loved me and that I wasn't alone, that the holy spirit was with me, that the holy spirit was with me in my darkness. That thought kept me going. I was loved. I didn't have to do anything, and I was loved. I didn't love myself, but God loved me. I didn't think I deserved that love, and God never stopped loving me because nothing could separate me from the love of God.”

#EverydayMission
“I might not be an international missionary right now, but I'm still called to go into the world and help people know of the love and hope we have in God. And I'm not doing this alone because I have the Holy Spirit with me, praying for me, guiding me, and loving me. And don't think this is something that is just for me because we are all called to do this. God doesn't pick certain people to do this. He doesn't say, oh, Bob, you're gonna go and make some disciples of those that are around you, but sorry, Matthew, you don't get to. Sorry. Not sorry, but sorry. Not for you. He doesn't do that. We're all called to do this. This is something we all can do. This is something we all should do.”

#BoldToShareHope
“God, I thank you that when we have no words, you have words, and we can trust in that. I thank you that when we don't know what to do, you do and you guide us through that situation. And I thank you that you love us. You love us so much that nothing can separate us from your love. May we, as a community, step out in your boldness to bring that hope to those around us, that we recognize that this is something we are all to do. And even when we don't think we can do it by ourselves, it's okay because we are not by ourselves. And I thank you, Lord, that you are with us always.”

#FollowTheNudge
“Just like I did with that woman in Dollarama. Just like my friend did to me, and this is something you guys can also do. So I'm gonna challenge you guys. I challenge you to spend time in the bible learning more about God. I challenge you to spend time in prayer, both talking to God and waiting for God's response in return. I challenge you to encourage each other by sharing your stories. And finally, follow the nudge. Follow the inner monologue saying you should probably do this. Follow that prompting of your conscious. Follow the nudge from the holy spirit because we are not alone. have the holy spirit with us right now, today.”

#GuidedToHelp
“I didn't know what the need was, but I still followed that guidance because God knew what that need was. I was able to take and help this woman and her child out of a dangerous situation. And with the guidance, with the teaching of the Holy Spirit, I was able to help them get to a safe place. I have never seen that woman and her child again, and I'm okay with that because I knew in that moment I was following the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I was following the guidance of the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is guiding us.”

#NothingCanSeparate
“What an amazing promise that is. Sometimes life can stink. Bad stuff happens to us. And good or bad, nothing can separate us from the love of God. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way. Years ago, I worked at a bank in another city, and it was a good steady job. But then every banker's worst nightmare happened. Myself and another teller were held up and forced to give cash to a robber while the rest of the bank and all of the customers had no idea that that this was happening. It was a terrifying and dangerous situation, But thankfully, nobody got hurt, and the robber was later caught. Thank you, Jesus. But it's an experience I would never wish on anyone. And because of that situation and other circumstances that happened around the same time, I went into a deep depression.”

#LoveInAction
“One problem with depression is that sometimes when you know that you're loved, like, even though I knew I was loved, but when you know that you're loved, you're still stuck. I struggled with getting out of that darkness that was in my mind, and this is when someone else followed that prompting of the holy spirit. They came into my life alongside me. I needed something to shake me up, to help me get out of that place that I was in, and God provided that person in my life. See, they knew that God loved me, and they became that physical representation of his love in my life. They followed the guidance, that teaching of the holy spirit, and made a point of talking to me, making sure that I was taking care of myself or just staying beside me without saying a word.”

#CompassionThatPersists
“Sometimes they would challenge me to do things to get me out of my tiny little comfort zone, which was good, and sometimes I pushed back because I did not wanna do that. But they still persisted. They still kept on following that guidance, that nudge from the holy spirit. They prayed for me even when they didn't know what was happening in my life, what I was going through. It was okay because they knew that God did. They knew that the holy spirit was praying with them. So what did they do? They understood the holy spirit is love in us and helped me to come to understand this too. They follow the guidance of the holy spirit and their calling to God's purpose. They knew that they were not alone because the holy spirit was with them.”
