“``Words create atmospheres. You know that whether you think about it a whole lot or not. Words create the atmosphere in your home. Words can create the atmosphere in your marriage. Words can create the atmosphere with your teenagers. Words can create the atmosphere on your job. Words create atmospheres. They can fill a room with faith, peace, and unity, or they can fill a room with tension, doubt, and division. Words. No wonder the Bible says death and life are in the power of the tongue. Your words can either create death or your words can create life. And you have to decide how you're going to use your words.”

“One of the hardest things that we ever learned to do, I wish I could tell you, I wish I could say right now, look at me. I've learned it. I've got it. I've mastered it. I'm still trying. The hardest thing you will ever learn to do is to trust with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, all your strength. That verse in Proverbs three that said trust in the Lord with all thine heart, lean not to thine own understanding and all thy ways acknowledge him and he will direct your path. There is not a harder verse of scripture to live in your bible. When I do get to apparel and hair and drinking and smoking and all that stuff some of you is wanting me to get to, there's none of that is as hard as trusting God.”

“I think one of the strongest verses of scripture in the Bible deals with unforgiveness. If I was asked to choose, pastor, what do you think is the strongest verse of scripture in the bible? I couldn't give you a list of three and this not be on it. The bible said if we forgive not men their trespasses, neither will our father in heaven forgive our trespasses. I don't know of a stronger verse. You better be careful before you say, I ain't forgiven that. I ain't forgiven them. Or maybe you don't say, you just don't do it. Hello? we forgive not men their trespasses neither will our father which is in heaven forgive us our trespasses. You know, we we preach a lot. You've heard it. I've heard it about there's only one unforgivable sin in the bible. That's blasphemy against the holy ghost. That's not true. It's not the only unforgivable sin. You refusing to forgive somebody is an unforgivable sin.”

“Can I tell you that anybody that's ever stolen anything in their life, they stole it up here before they ever touched it with their hands? Anybody that's ever punched somebody in the nose, they did it up here before they ever bowled their fist up. Anybody that's ever committed adultery, they did it up here before they ever hopped in the sack with somebody. Hello? Worldliness, worldly habits are often internal long before they are external. That's why we have to confront attitudes, the way we think, what we're giving our mind to. We need to get control of some things a long time before they become part of us, a long time before they become an attitude, a long time before they become a mindset, a long time before they become something we actually start lusting after.”
