Distraction creeps in quietly, like a meal left behind at a drive-thru when life’s noise drowns out hunger. Spiritual drifting isn’t dramatic—it’s forgetting prayer for busyness, skipping Scripture for scrolling, or trading conviction for convenience. Just as hunger eventually reminds us we’ve missed nourishment, emptiness reveals how far we’ve drifted from God’s presence. The gap between where we are and where we started grows one unchecked compromise at a time. Stay alert: closeness to God requires intention, while distance happens by accident. [05:26]

It's not that people are gonna stop worshiping, but instead that we're gonna start to worship ourselves, and instead of putting Jesus on the throne, that we wanna be on the throne of our own lives. He's talking about a culture that's so in love with self that we will sacrifice truth and manipulate people and turn faith into a brand. And Paul is saying, I'm not talking about the God of self, but I'm talking about the gospel of our Lord and of our savior, Jesus the Christ. The gospel that has the power to make dead people alive. The gospel that has the power to convict us of sin. The gospel that has the power to make us look a lot less like ourselves and a lot more like Jesus.”

It is my prayer that if you're going through a tough financial situation, I want you to know that we serve a God in heaven that wants to show up for you in a strong and in a mighty way.
