#PrayDontWorry
“``And I'd say if it's big enough to worry about, then it's big enough to pray about it. Our worry is very unproductive. It doesn't accomplish anything. It's it's making plans in the future emotionally. Like, what would think what how might I feel if this horrible worst case scenario happens? So it's good to plan ahead when it comes to budgeting or, you know, planning for for a trip down the road or things like that, but don't plan ahead emotionally, which is what worry is. Like, there's enough stuff today to think about, enough stuff today to concern yourself with. Jesus reminds his followers of that in the sermon on the mount. Every day has enough worries of its own. Don't worry about tomorrow because your father knows what you need before you ask.”

#HandItToGod
“And when we do that, when we pray, which is really what the sermon is about this morning, when we pray about our worries, about our fears, about our crisis moments, I think several things happen. One thing is that we transfer the burden to fixing the problem from our shoulders to God's. Say, God, you you take this. I I can't bear this on my own. I need your help. If I'm gonna get out of this situation, it's gonna because be because you provide for it. So, God, would you take this burden from me? Can I give it to you?”

#GodCaresAboutYou
“Doing this requires confronting what we believe about God. Do you believe that God is good and that he's strong and that he's powerful and that he cares about you? I think sometimes we don't do this because we feel like it's so small. It's like God's so big. He's got so many things going on. He doesn't care about this little thing that's causing me stress. You have people in your life that you love, your your maybe your kids or family members and your and and you see them burdened by something. You care about every single thing that's going on with them. And we're imperfect. We're fallen. We're not we're not God. God loves you. God cares about the burdens of your heart. Every single thing, the things that stress you out, the things that you were carrying on your shoulder before you came here this week and and throughout the week, God cares.”

#TakeItToTheLord
“That's the best he could say because he didn't conquer Jerusalem. He didn't take Hezekiah as his captive. Hezekiah though illustrates for us what to do when we face trouble. When you're feeling fear, when you're feeling worry, when the doctor wants to run some extra text tests, or you're worried about your kids, or you're worried about our gas prices are gonna keep going up and the economy and things seem to be getting more expensive, what do you do with your fears? What do you do with your worries? You do what Hezekiah did. You take them to the Lord. You know, Hezekiah had to go to a temple. That was the place where God's presence dwelled. We're told in the New Testament that we are the temple of God, that God dwells within us.”
