#SpiritualSuffocation
“``Number three. So, Jesus describes something else that might even be more dangerous than rocks in the life of a believer. He says, yeah, it can get pretty hot outside, but the real problem or a bigger problem is when you start to grow lukewarm inside. Let's see what he says here, verse 22. The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. So we've got work, we've got kids, we've got sports, we've got bills, we've got phones, we've got entertainment, we've got activities, we've got house projects going on, we've got career opportunities. Most thorns that that spring up in our life aren't obviously evil. It's not obviously trouble that's happening because things don't have to be sinful to be spiritually suffocating. Let me say that again. Things don't have to be sinful to be spiritually suffocating.”

#ReceptiveSoil
“Because it's not enough just to hear the word, is it? No. You gotta begin to put it in to practice. You have to understand it. He says, the one who hears the word and understands it, this is the one who produces a crop yielding a 160, or 30 times what was sown. You see, good soil isn't perfect soil, but it is receptive soil. And this is where I wanna get to in my life, is where I'm allowing God to speak to me, where the hard ground has been broken up, where I've done my best to remove the rocks and where the weeds have been pulled up in my life. I wanna get to the point where where I am that receptive soil, where God can speak to me, and his word takes root in my heart and begins to grow things inside of me.”

#RemoveTheRocks
“But it's important that we prepare a place because if we wanna be to that place of good soil, we've gotta take care of the the rocks. Also, is it a crowded place? Is your heart a crowded place where something needs to be removed? Even the good things in your life, if they're not leading you towards Jesus, are distractions. So, is there something in you that God needs to remove? And maybe a a good question to ask to kinda sum this up would be, am I producing the kind of fruit that I know God wants me to produce?”

#FruitOfTheSpirit
“Is there love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, kindness, gentleness, and self control? Are these things abundant in my life? Or are there a couple of them that seem like they're missing? And what's under the surface there? Because growth starts underground. Starts it starts beneath the surface. It starts when we begin to take care of those things so that we can become that kind of receptive soil that God wants for us. See, God wants to cultivate this good soil in you. He's not just leaving you to your own devices. He's not just he's not just telling you to figure it out on your own. His spirit wants to speak to you today. Wants to show you the areas of your life where that hard soil needs to be broken up, where those rocks need to be removed, where those weeds need to be pulled so that he can make a difference inside of you.”
