47s
“Life in the spirit is not just a moment of salvation. It's not just a moment where you come down to an altar or driving in your car or kneeling at your bedside and you're filled with the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It's not just that moment. There's more to life in the spirit. It's about a lifetime of transformation. He doesn't just save you. He begins to shape you. He doesn't just seal you with his holy spirit. He begins to strengthen you. He doesn't just bring you into Christ. He grows you up in Christ.”
58s
“But it's not about behavior modification. about heart transformation. Paul doesn't start with do this, don't do that. He doesn't start with behavior. He doesn't just start with giving out commands. He starts with your identity, who you are. He starts with grace. He starts with what with what God has already done. Before Paul gets into growing in Jesus, needing to grow up in the Lord, he reminds us of what the Holy Spirit has already planted in us and also what we're destined for. Why are we even doing this thing?”
56s
“``This is where the rubber meets the road. This is where your life in the spirit becomes visible. He doesn't just change how you think. He changes how you live. Amen. Praise God. And Paul gives us a simple, powerful pattern for spirit formed living. Put off. Be renewed. Put on. Amen. Yes. It's a daily rhythm of life in the spirit. I don't wake up and just go, well, I don't know what it's gonna be today. No. Put off. Be renewed. Put on. Do it intentionally.”
70s
“We're like boats without anchors. Pushed around by every new wind and wave, by every new idea that comes along. Well, I think it should be like this. You've all you've all seen the YouTube videos. Right? Oh, I see heads shaking. Yes. Stop watching them. Every new trend that comes up. Oh, let's do that. That's gotta be it. That will that will help us achieve more identity. Every new emotion. Well, I've I've gotta feel this way. It has to be like this. Every new pressure of life, but the spirit anchors you. He begins to give you stability and truth.”
