“``Prayer keeps believers connected to God. That's the way we communicate. That's the way we relate to God is in the place of prayer. And the bible has so many references encouraging, instructing us, admonishing us the importance of prayer. Bible says in Colossians four two say, continuing in prayer. First Thessalonians five seven say, pray without ceasing. We pray based on our needs. We pray because of the challenges. Well, prayer is more than meeting needs. Prayers is a relationship with God. It's like husband and wife that don't talk to one another. You can be sure that relationship will not last long. You have to engage beyond just need what you need from your spouse or what I need from my spouse. We communicate and we relate to God. We appreciate God. We worship God. Their needs now come later. That's what prayer is all about.”

“And finally, growth happens or grow in the place of trials. Trials. Difficulties often become God's classroom. And waiting room where we mature. We are talking about this on Wednesday when we are talking, when we are doing our bible study. When we go through challenges, when we go through problems. Therefore reasons and God permitted, allowed them. Don't forget God knows the end from the beginning and he has a good plan for you. So when we go through some of these challenges, we should don't just rubbish them. There are things God will want us to learn from them. Praise the name of the Lord. Praise the name of the Lord. Look at what the psalmist says in Psalm 190, say I was afflicted before I went astray. But now I keep your word because of what I've gone through.”

“Grace is the enablement, it's that fuel. Paul says, I am what I am. By the grace of God. And you will become what you are also by the grace of God. That is my grace is all. It's sufficient for you. Can somebody say amen to that? So for us to grow spiritually, we must depend on God's grace daily. Recognize that maturity is impossible through self effort. Or self training. You need the grace of God. Bible says it's not by power, it's not by might, but by my spirit, what? Says the Lord. And without Jesus, you and I can do nothing. So you depend totally on the grace of God. Number three or number four, growth comes through knowing Christ.”

“So how do I grow? Growth starts with our salvation. No one grows spiritually. Except you are connected when we are talking about Jesus now. You are discovering yourself in the Lord and your savior. Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. John three three. If any man being Christ is a what? A new creation, all things are possible, behold, all things have become new. So for us to grow the the starting block apart from the fundamental help of the holy spirit is our salvation. Are you in the house? Salvation is more than coming to church. Have you declared? Have you accepted him? Have you called upon his name? To save you, to deliver you from his sin. Growth starts with knowing God. And not church attendance. Praise the name of the Lord.”
