Faith is believing in God's promises even when circumstances seem impossible, trusting that He is faithful to fulfill what He has spoken. When life feels uncertain and the evidence of God's promise is nowhere in sight, it is easy to waver or grumble as the Israelites did in the wilderness. Yet, the example of Abraham reminds us that faith is not developed in comfort but in seasons of waiting and challenge. Abraham waited 25 years for God's promise of a son, yet he did not waver in unbelief but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. Even when mocked or ridiculed, he remained fully convinced that God was able to do what He promised. In your own journey, remember that God may allow difficult times to stretch and grow your faith, not to break you but to draw you closer to Him. Hold fast to His promises, for the God who called you is more than able to bring them to pass. [01:41:21]
Romans 4:20-22 (ESV)
No unbelief made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God, fully convinced that God was able to do what he had promised. That is why his faith was “counted to him as righteousness.”
Reflection: What is one promise from God that you are struggling to believe today? How can you choose to trust Him with it, even when you see no evidence of its fulfillment?
True Christian love is not just spoken but demonstrated through forgiveness, compassion, and sacrificial care for others, even when it is difficult. Jesus said that the world would know we are His disciples by our love for one another. This love is not always easy, especially when others hurt us or when differences seem insurmountable. Yet, Christ loved us while we were still sinners and calls us to love in deed and in truth, not just in words. The love that forgives, bears with others, and seeks their good is only possible through the Holy Spirit working in us. As you encounter people who are hard to love, ask God to fill you with His love so that you can forgive and serve as Christ did. This kind of love is what the world is longing for and what sets the church apart as a light in the darkness. [01:45:49]
John 13:35 (ESV)
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.
Reflection: Who is one person you find difficult to love or forgive? What is one practical step you can take today to show them Christ’s love in action?
God desires that we continually grow in our knowledge of Him, not boasting in wisdom, strength, or riches, but in understanding and knowing the Lord who delights in lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness. This growth comes through daily meditation on Scripture, allowing the Word to shape our hearts and reveal God’s character. As we draw closer to Him, the Holy Spirit unveils deeper truths and insights, moving us from spiritual infancy to maturity. Don’t settle for a surface-level relationship with God; seek Him earnestly, and He will reveal more of Himself to you. Let your hunger for God’s Word lead you into a deeper, more intimate walk with Him, equipping you for every good work He has prepared. [01:51:05]
Jeremiah 9:23-24 (ESV)
Thus says the Lord: “Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.”
Reflection: What is one way you can intentionally seek to know God more deeply this week—through Scripture, prayer, or another spiritual discipline?
God calls His people to be holy as He is holy, not merely in outward actions but in the motives and attitudes of the heart. Holiness means being set apart for God’s purposes, allowing His Spirit to transform how we think, speak, and act. It is a daily process of cleansing ourselves from all that defiles, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. The ultimate goal is to be conformed to the image of Christ, so that others see a difference in our lives. Examine your heart regularly—are you living a life that reflects God’s holiness, not just on Sundays but every day? If you find areas that need repentance, come to God, who is ready to forgive and empower you to walk in holiness. [01:56:13]
1 Peter 1:15-16 (ESV)
But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”
Reflection: In what area of your life do you sense God calling you to greater holiness? What is one change you can make today to pursue a life set apart for Him?
The Christian journey is not about never falling, but about getting up and pressing on with God’s help until the end. Like the runner in the Olympic story, we may stumble or feel too weak to continue, but our Heavenly Father comes alongside us, giving us the strength to finish the race. Don’t stay down in the place where you fell; rise up and keep going, trusting that God will empower you to complete the course He has set before you. The goal is to finish well, to hear “Well done, good and faithful servant.” No matter how many times you have failed or how weary you feel, God’s grace is sufficient to carry you through. Surrender your weakness to Him and let Him help you finish strong. [02:03:33]
Philippians 3:13-14 (ESV)
Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.
Reflection: Where have you felt like giving up in your walk with God? What is one step you can take today to get up and keep moving forward, trusting in His strength?
Today was a day of honoring, reflection, and deep encouragement for our church family. We began by recognizing and blessing our veterans, expressing gratitude for their service and sacrifice, and praying for God’s continued hand upon their lives and families. We also acknowledged the many ways God has protected and provided for our church members, especially in times of accidents and need, and we recommitted ourselves to the ministry of prayer, knowing that it is God’s faithfulness and the prayers of His people that sustain us.
As we look ahead to Thanksgiving, we celebrate the diversity and unity of our church through various gatherings for children, youth, college students, and adults. These events are not just about food and fellowship, but about cultivating gratitude and community, making room for everyone to belong and be blessed.
We also heard a heartfelt appeal regarding our food pantry. The need in our community is great, especially with recent government shutdowns affecting food assistance. We are reminded that our giving is not just charity, but a tangible expression of Christ’s love—feeding the hungry, not as an institution, but as a family moved by God’s compassion. Our generosity is a reflection of the greatest gift: God giving His Son for us.
The testimonies from our youth and their leaders after the Encounter Conference were powerful. We witnessed how God is moving among the next generation—healing, freeing, and calling them to deeper surrender. Their vulnerability and hunger for God challenge us all to make space for authentic encounters with Jesus, both for our youth and ourselves. Parents were honored for prioritizing spiritual opportunities for their children, and we were reminded that our influence matters in shaping destinies for the Kingdom.
Turning to the Word, we were called to examine our spiritual growth. God does not desire us to leave His presence unchanged. We are to grow in faith, love, knowledge, and holiness. Faith is tested and refined in difficulty, as seen in the lives of Abraham and Job. Love must be demonstrated, not just spoken, even when it is costly. We are to pursue a deeper knowledge of God, not content with surface-level understanding, but longing for revelation and intimacy. Holiness is not external ritual, but a daily, internal consecration—being set apart for God’s purposes.
Finally, we were encouraged not to stay down when we fall, but to rise and finish the race with God’s help. Like the father who came alongside his injured son in the race, our Heavenly Father is ready to strengthen us so we can finish well. Let us not waste the opportunities before us, but surrender afresh, trusting God to do what only He can do in and through us.
Grow in faith. Grow in love. Grow in knowledge and understanding of God. Grow in holiness and character. I just want to read that. Grow in faith. Grow in love. Grow in knowledge and understanding of God. Grow in holiness and character. The word of God is very clear. Hebrews chapter 11:6 says that. But without faith, it's impossible to please him. [01:36:29]
Faith is if you don't have any evidence but still you believe that God can do that. That's what faith is all about. Let's examine our hearts this morning where we are in that walk. when nothing is there when the whole surrounding everything is bleak now you you have no what do you call no proof that it's going to happen but still you believe that God is going to something that is what faith is all about. [01:37:27]
Sometimes God had to take you through difficult times for our faith to be developed. Sometimes you do not know why you have to go through certain things in your life. But God allows certain things because your faith will not be stretched. You do not know whether you have faith when you live in your comfort zone. [01:42:14]
Sometimes we think we know him but sometimes we have to go some difficult times in your life to really know who God is. God is not going God is not here to break you. God is here to build you up. Don't give up on him. Things may look bleak. Things may look different but don't give up on God. [01:44:08]
Grow in love. The basic thing what Jesus said in John 13:35 by this all will know that you are my disciples if we have love for one another. Now this is a very important thing what God expects all of us to grow on a daily basis. [01:44:47]
Love is not just by words saying that I love him, I love him, but you have to show your love indeed. It means that you have to have a forgiving heart when somebody hurts you. It's I know it's very hard that that forgiveness sometimes people could really hurt you bad. [01:45:43]
Let's ask God to give us that kind of love because I need I strongly believe in my heart that's the love what the world is seeking for but they cannot have it. Only we can have it in our church because we have Christ in us. The Holy Spirit will give us the strength to love people like that. [01:46:19]
But Christ loved us yet while we were still sinners. He didn't love when we are clear, when we holy. When I was when I was sin sinner, Christ loved me and died for me on the cross of Calvary. Even if I'm the only person on this earth, still my God would have come down and died for my sin. [01:47:16]
God wants to have that relationship with us, to know him more, to know him more. That's the longing for all of us. God has that longing towards us. Do we have that? Do we have that passion to know him more to reveal his plans? [01:50:28]
When you allow to change you the word of God, you would know the will and plan and character of God. If you do that has to be in our life on a daily basis to meditate on the word of God because word of God only can cleanse you. Word of God only can it's like a mirror. [01:51:29]
Get closer to him. The Holy Spirit will reveal and show you the deeper truths of the word of God. Don't just stay at the basic level. Don't just stay at the basic level. Keep move glory to glory. There are so many things that God wants to reveal to us. [01:52:17]
Holiness is not just following certain commandments or rituals. It's not like that. It's about your heart. It's about your heart. You could appear holy to others like following certain things, commandments and rituals. But God is more concerned about your heart. How your inner being is. [01:54:05]
The ultimate purpose for every believer is to be conformed into the image of his son Jesus Christ. And that only can be done if we pursue holiness. Romans 8 29 says like this. For whom he forneew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. [01:55:37]
If God expects us to be holy, it means that there are consequences if we don't live a holy life. One day we are going to be answerable for the deeds what we be what we did. Not only deeds, the thinking, everything. What is you may be doing a good thing in your life, but what is the motive behind doing that thing only God knows the motive behind it and we all are going to face the judgment. [01:57:00]
God says come. I will help you to finish the race. Don't stay in the place where you fell. Get up. Get up and keep going. is all about finishing the race because we all want to hear well done good and faithful servant. So don't stay in the place where you fell. God is there to help you to finish the race successfully. [02:03:27]
